No Mistakes

This lil' guy makes me smile~

stamps: Kindred Stamps Happy Accidents   dies: My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles

I remember seeing him on tv when I was young. :)

To be honest, I didn't have the attention span at the time.

However, I've seen pop culture items around, and I think it's adorable they've brought him back.

I thought of him when I saw the following challenge~

Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop Challenge 2018

My girls will tell you I have a serious pom addiction.
ahem.
That would be correct~these poufs need homes!!
There's one on this bookmark card~

stamps: Papertrey Ink Stylized Autumn  die: My Favorite Things Gift Card Grooves

Papertrey Ink's September Blog Hop Challenge is a gorgeous table set up for fall~
https://blog.papertreyink.com/2018/09/september-2018-blog-hop/

I love those gourds/pumpkins that have a color down the grooves...hence the yellow "stripe" on the pom I created.
My line of stamped flowers and square sequins mimic the row of colorful gourds.
A pic of the rustic cream panel proves nothing goes to waste here.

Happy Fall

Happy Fallllll!
Today I created something for
with Melissa Phillips.

Melissa changed the look of her card, keeping the layout.

I did the same.

Here's my new creation~

Here's my old bookmark card with a chipboard accent~

https://marlenaisfaithfullycrafting.blogspot.com/2011/09/thick-chipboard-and-thank-you.html

My Fall look was inspired by Laurel's photo of an autumn display against grey and neutrals.

http://theseinspiredchallenges.blogspot.com/2018/09/inspired-by-fall-foliage.html

Since my newest obsession is poms... I made sure I could incorporate one!

I learned to make this looped pom here.

I don't often go delicate floral~

Pretty Darn Cool

You've been warned...I'm on the pom pom train.

My family was like "ummm, you know you can't stick that in an envelope right".

Yes, I know that people. :)

But hand carried cards (or boxed up cards) are valid for pop up items.

Simon Says Stamp (Wednesday): Pop It Up

Pom Pom Christmas Bookmark Card

Christmas creating is in full swing, friends!!!

Papertrey Ink is in the middle of a release, and I'm participating in

their

What's nice, is you can use what you already have, and be inspired by the team's use of new products.

had me reach for the Spruce & Sprigs set I own.

Like her creation, I kept the colors understated and let the branches play a big role (vs flowers).

I also added a fabric element~which are a huge part of Melissa's designs.

I went with a fun pom topped bookmark card.

That glittery goodness is a strip of washi I added and ran through the die again for a clean cut.

stamps: Papertrey Ink Spruce & Sprigs/ A Thrill of Hope  die: Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #5

Poms are my newest obsession btw. ;)

Melissa almost always adds lovely bows, so when you flip this bookmark, it is tied with a neat little bow (glued down so it won't slip through).

When the bookmark is removed, there's still an image there so the recipient can keep their card.

I usually incorporate a bookmark slot, but this time I clipped it to a strip of patterned paper.

Before securing the strip, I placed the tiny clothespin where I wanted it and distributed my score tape accordingly.

Oh I'm sooo making more of these (it's the perfect excuse for all the yarn I want to buy :)).

Thanks for stopping by~

Pop Up Card

Make It Monday #335: Pop Up Slider Cards

hosted by BetsyVeldman

is a good one!

stamps: Papertrey Ink The Sweet Life flowers/Valentine Pin-Ups fox/Half & Half sentiment

I combined several sets for my card.

When Betsy put legs on the pumpkin, I decided I would try the Valentine Pin Ups set.

The characters are so cute~I wanted to bring one out for another season!

I'll be honest...I went through at least six mechanisms until I admitted the ears needed cut off.

It helped TONS.

Don't be intimidated~

if I could do it, anyone can ;).

Mind Your Mummy

This stamp set was clearancing out and I'm glad I snagged it in time!

So many disappearing sets in cyberland that I missed;  I have regrets. :(

You know what? If you add it to your online cart more than four times...chances are you want it.

Just sayin.

ha!

However this? This was a win. :)

It's the season to ink him up.

Pinatas make me happy. :)
I've seen so many cute shapes, it makes me want to throw a party.

stamps: My Favorite Things Anything but Basic Birthday Wishes/Sketchy Flowers wonky circle  dies: My Favorite Things Pinata, Avery Elle Wonky Stitches

Have you ever witnessed a pinata SNAP off the string?!

http://inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.com/2018/08/challenge-168-snap.html

Ummmm utter chaos and kids piling on to punch out the candy is what I've observed.

There's zero hope of hanging it back up.

Just stand back or you'll get hurt. ;)

The following sketch is at My Favorite Things

Sparkle

I'm not ready for FALL fall, but I'll embrace Christmas.

stamps: Technique Tuesday Being Unique  dies: Papertrey Ink Eyelet Lace/Brushed Off Rectangle, Technique Tuesday Sparkle and Shine Snowflakes  other: Fine glitter

 When I saw Laurel's  Inspired By...classy desk

http://theseinspiredchallenges.blogspot.com/2018/08/inspired-by-classy-desk.html

it reminded me of the gold geometric rhino I passed up at Tuesday Morning on Wednesday morning.

Ha!  :)

It's ok, I wouldn't know where to put him anyway.

Be proud of me, because I have allll kinds of nonsense on my desk ranging from Funkos to interesting knick knacks like the white glass knot in the photo.

*it's now justified as a prop for photos*

ahem

I may not have ONE theme rockin at my desk like the Inspired By photo...but I can create a card that's focused on one.

This card is constructed from glitter borders I created for Make It Monday #334: Glitter Inlay
hosted by Lexi Daly.

Here's a closeup of the soft white glitter within the eyelet openings.

I didn't get to finish the card in time to link up

(I dated my hubby instead~zero regrets, btw).

I figured I could go wedding or Christmas with that glittery white goodness, so I chose Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by~

oh and I'm linking up also at

So Worth Celebrating

The leaves are starting to turn, and I'm not quite ready for FALL fall, you know?

So I went with colors and fun patterns to hint that fall is up next~

stamps: My Favorite Things Anything But Basic Birthday Greetings  dies: Avery Elle  Elle-ments Dotted Borders, Lifestyle Crafts Maple Leaves

Celebratory, vague sentiments leave room for this card to be hand carried to any event.

http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2018/09/just-us-girls-challenge-456-word-week.html

I say hand carried, because I tried my hand at a home made pom.

I've got tons of twine to experiment with~
