No Mistakes

This lil' guy makes me smile~

stamps: Kindred Stamps Happy Accidents   dies: My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles

I remember seeing him on tv when I was young. :)

To be honest, I didn't have the attention span at the time.

However, I've seen pop culture items around, and I think it's adorable they've brought him back.

I thought of him when I saw the following challenge~

Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop Challenge 2018

My girls will tell you I have a serious pom addiction.
That would be correct~these poufs need homes!!
There's one on this bookmark card~

stamps: Papertrey Ink Stylized Autumn  die: My Favorite Things Gift Card Grooves

Papertrey Ink's September Blog Hop Challenge is a gorgeous table set up for fall~

I love those gourds/pumpkins that have a color down the grooves...hence the yellow "stripe" on the pom I created.
My line of stamped flowers and square sequins mimic the row of colorful gourds.
A pic of the rustic cream panel proves nothing goes to waste here.

Happy Fall

Happy Fallllll!
Today I created something for
with Melissa Phillips.

Melissa changed the look of her card, keeping the layout.

I did the same.

Here's my new creation~

stamps: Papertrey Ink Brushed Birds/Mum's the Word  dies: Papertrey Ink Brushed Birds/Mum's the Word, My Favorite Things Gift Card Grooves

Here's my old bookmark card with a chipboard accent~

My Fall look was inspired by Laurel's photo of an autumn display against grey and neutrals.

Since my newest obsession is poms... I made sure I could incorporate one!

I learned to make this looped pom here.

 Thanks for stopping by today~

Congrats in Autumn

I don't often go delicate floral~

stamps: Papertrey Ink Mum's the Word  dies: Papertrey Ink Mum's the Word, Pink and Main Congrats, Lil' Inker On the Diagonal, Avery Elle Wonky Stitches

The gorgeous photo at Time Out had me at orange ~

Time Out Challenge #118

It's my favorite season, and I'm all about that color!

I kept it mostly orange-like for

Simon Says (Monday): Monochrome

It'll be apropos for a wedding, anniversary, or any #adulty celebration. :)

~The Heart of Man~

Every Christmas card invests in my Dec. sanity.
I love when I look out for future Marlena ;)

stamps: Papertrey Ink What the Doodle Snowflakes, Seaside Stampin' Ink Christmas Began  dies:Papertrey Ink What the Doodle  other: Nuvo Drops

I was inspired by the subtle loveliness at

Black and white backed by pastel elements~

When I attended my first stamp convention this summer.. this sentiment stopped me in my tracks and realigned my focus.

It's my new favorite Christmas message!

From Our House

This is a quick post because I should probably get some sleep. ;)

stamps: Unity Stamps sentiment  dies: Lil' Inker On the Diagonal, Taylored Expressions Crustaceans, My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles, Spellbinders Classic Circles

Laurel's prompt here had me grab this red crustacean that was hanging around...

I kept the other colors pretty neutral.

Also, I felt this card would be perfect for the square sequins I've been hoarding.

I'm not ready to give up bright colors just yet~

stamps: Tim Holtz Cling Stamp-Autumn, Maymay Made It Your Faith is Showing  dies: My Favorite Things Pierced Squares, Simon Says Stamp Greeting Blocks  other: Copic Markers

I love the way the rainbow stripes are a backdrop in the photo~

this patterned paper fit the bill. ;)

Pretty Darn Cool

You've been warned...I'm on the pom pom train.

My family was like "ummm, you know you can't stick that in an envelope right".

Yes, I know that people. :)

But hand carried cards (or boxed up cards) are valid for pop up items.

Simon Says Stamp (Wednesday): Pop It Up

stamps: Simon Says Stamp/Hero Arts Prayers thinking of you sentiment, My Favorite Things Because You sentiment  dies: Avery Elle Wonky Stitches, My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles   other: Tim Holtz stencil, Papertrey Ink Modern stencil

If the recipient wants to keep the pom...she can remove it from the tab~

Check out these rad colors~

I don't often stencil...let alone use more than one~but I like the unique effect.

Thanks for stopping by to say hey~

Pom Pom Christmas Bookmark Card

Christmas creating is in full swing, friends!!!
Papertrey Ink is in the middle of a release, and I'm participating in
What's nice, is you can use what you already have, and be inspired by the team's use of new products.
had me reach for the Spruce & Sprigs set I own.
Like her creation, I kept the colors understated and let the branches play a big role (vs flowers).
I also added a fabric element~which are a huge part of Melissa's designs.
I went with a fun pom topped bookmark card.
That glittery goodness is a strip of washi I added and ran through the die again for a clean cut.

stamps: Papertrey Ink Spruce & Sprigs/ A Thrill of Hope  die: Papertrey Ink Tag Sale #5

Poms are my newest obsession btw. ;)
Melissa almost always adds lovely bows, so when you flip this bookmark, it is tied with a neat little bow (glued down so it won't slip through).
When the bookmark is removed, there's still an image there so the recipient can keep their card.

I usually incorporate a bookmark slot, but this time I clipped it to a strip of patterned paper.

Before securing the strip, I placed the tiny clothespin where I wanted it and distributed my score tape accordingly.

Oh I'm sooo making more of these (it's the perfect excuse for all the yarn I want to buy :)).

Pop Up Card

Make It Monday #335: Pop Up Slider Cards

hosted by BetsyVeldman

is a good one!

stamps: Papertrey Ink The Sweet Life flowers/Valentine Pin-Ups fox/Half & Half sentiment

I combined several sets for my card.

When Betsy put legs on the pumpkin, I decided I would try the Valentine Pin Ups set.

The characters are so cute~I wanted to bring one out for another season!

I'll be honest...I went through at least six mechanisms until I admitted the ears needed cut off.

It helped TONS.

Don't be intimidated~

if I could do it, anyone can ;).

Mind Your Mummy

This stamp set was clearancing out and I'm glad I snagged it in time!
So many disappearing sets in cyberland that I missed;  I have regrets. :(
You know what? If you add it to your online cart more than four times...chances are you want it.
Just sayin.
However this? This was a win. :)
It's the season to ink him up.

stamps: A Jillian Vance Design Happy (Owl) oween  dies: Tuesday Morning Bubbles on the Border bubbles, Memory Box Pinpoint Main Street Tag, My Favorite Things Gift Card Grooves

I added a doily so it wouldn't be bare when the bookmark is removed.

Friends Don't Let Friends

Pinatas make me happy. :)
I've seen so many cute shapes, it makes me want to throw a party.

stamps: My Favorite Things Anything but Basic Birthday Wishes/Sketchy Flowers wonky circle  dies: My Favorite Things Pinata, Avery Elle Wonky Stitches

Have you ever witnessed a pinata SNAP off the string?!

Ummmm utter chaos and kids piling on to punch out the candy is what I've observed.

There's zero hope of hanging it back up.

Just stand back or you'll get hurt. ;)

The following sketch is at My Favorite Things

The wonky circle from Sketchy Flowers and the fun sentiment from Anything but Basic Birthday Wishes were stamped on.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Christmas Peace

I counted the Christmas card pile and I need to get cracking!!

stamps: Winnie & Walter Scenery: It's a Wonderful Pennant  die: Winnie & Walter In a Word: Peace Cutaway other: Nuvo drops

Totally Rock

I did a little mixed media on this card with paint splatters~

stamps: Practical Publishing Music & Dance Collection  dies: Technique Tuesday Bubbles on the Border, My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles/Cross-Stitched Oval

I couldn't decide on which image to feature, so I chose several.

They are white embossed on black and cutwith wonky stitched circles and a cross-stitched oval.

Nothing but fun play for this following challenge:

I'm not ready for FALL fall, but I'll embrace Christmas.

stamps: Technique Tuesday Being Unique  dies: Papertrey Ink Eyelet Lace/Brushed Off Rectangle, Technique Tuesday Sparkle and Shine Snowflakes  other: Fine glitter

 When I saw Laurel's  Inspired By...classy desk

it reminded me of the gold geometric rhino I passed up at Tuesday Morning on Wednesday morning.

Ha!  :)

It's ok, I wouldn't know where to put him anyway.

Be proud of me, because I have allll kinds of nonsense on my desk ranging from Funkos to interesting knick knacks like the white glass knot in the photo.

*it's now justified as a prop for photos*

I may not have ONE theme rockin at my desk like the Inspired By photo...but I can create a card that's focused on one.

This card is constructed from glitter borders I created for Make It Monday #334: Glitter Inlay
hosted by Lexi Daly.

Here's a closeup of the soft white glitter within the eyelet openings.

I didn't get to finish the card in time to link up

(I dated my hubby instead~zero regrets, btw).

I figured I could go wedding or Christmas with that glittery white goodness, so I chose Christmas.

Thanks for stopping by~

oh and I'm linking up also at

So Worth Celebrating

The leaves are starting to turn, and I'm not quite ready for FALL fall, you know?
So I went with colors and fun patterns to hint that fall is up next~

stamps: My Favorite Things Anything But Basic Birthday Greetings  dies: Avery Elle  Elle-ments Dotted Borders, Lifestyle Crafts Maple Leaves

Celebratory, vague sentiments leave room for this card to be hand carried to any event.

I say hand carried, because I tried my hand at a home made pom.
I've got tons of twine to experiment with~
Thank you for your visit!
