I created a masculine valentine for my man~

Get some press 'n seal -you can use the rest in the kitchen!


 Here is where I press 'n sealed the cut pieces and flipped over for glue application.

~That's the long and short of it~

-my new phrase and I don't know where I picked it up-

I'm one of those worrying types....you know...wringing their hands/furrowing their brows and can't sleep type of peeps?

Yah, that's me.

It's amazing I function on a daily level.... 

seriously.

But my God is a mighty God!


He helps me whether I'm looking for my phone 

or I'm in much worse shape.


I added a butterfly...that's me...all fragile like and fluttering about aimlessly...

Amazing 16th Birthday

Babygirl turned 16 yesterday!

I took it better than I thought I would.

I was a little distracted, though...I lost my phone as I was running out the door~

it was found in the fridge....

on top of a Lunchable.

😆

 I saved it in time!

It kinda shook me though...how does someone do that and then try to shop at Walmart like everything is ok in the world....

fake it 'til you make it, I guess. :)

 I created this for girlie....

the cat was an experimental embroidery piece I designed from clipart back when I used my embroidery machine.

It seems like ions ago!!!

I'm glad I could feature this piece on a card to give my animal loving girl for her big day.

You're Amazing Floral Window

My youngest is BOLD as well as amazing.

I created this card to tell her so. ;)

I based it off of Card Concept's 65th  Fresh & Bold inspiration~which woos me with pinks,oranges and black on a  white canvas of furniture.

 

Orange flower stems were stamped for the squiggly pieces and I brought out a frame die to focus on 

(representing the framed photos).

I'd say my creation is CAS, since it's almost one-layered.

I'm relieved it's Friday~how 'bout you?

I need to STOP and just BE this weekend.

Maybe I can get some crafty me in too. ;)

I can make use of a stamp set that hasn't seen much show time.

LOVE the geometric shapes in Papertrey's "You're a Gem" set.

 After cutting a heart mask out, I inked up

 those scrumptious jewels and added squiggles and what nots from various sets like "What the Doodle Waves,Songbirds,Half & Half" and the teeny star from "City Scene".

 I'm pretty happy with the wreath that appeared!

Be Sweet On the Inside

I love creating a gift within a card~it's a twofer.

 This three-layered bookmark is held in place by lil' heart tabs.

I found the best way to position this look, is to clip the tabs in place; flip over everything together, then add adhesive tape to the base of the tabs.

I can't imagine trying to squeeze the bookmark in after the fact!

~I can't park straight, people; I know my limits.  😆

 

 Ellen Hutson's Stay Golden is a nice compliment to the bookmark set from Avery Elle.

I bought rubber cement after watching this tutorial, but didn't try it until now.

Make It Monday #240: Watercolor Resist

The hardest part, was waiting for the rubber cement to dry.

 

I went with broad stripes, since I love the irregular striped look.

My cold must be protecting me, because Lexi warns of the smell, but I didn't notice!

 Just a note, in case you are sensitive to strong odors.

Well, we are fighting colds and what-not here, but who isn't?

Once we are better, we will feel more alive than ever!

 A strip of shiny tape was laid down before going through the Big Shot.

Remembered I had the stuff when I saw this challenge:

I picked up the dots and incorporated the pink, black and green elements in this layered CAS creation.

New Mercies

I'm so glad God gives us new mercies for today.

It gives me hope!

This hope lifts me above my anxieties~

um, surrrrrre 😏

as long as I remember how I was created before I jump into new things.

I could aim for the sky right off the bat...but miss the point if I'm overburdened with more responsibility and stress than I'm equipped to handle.

I think I'll take the new year in single days...like God intended, and make decisions along the way.

If I know me though, I'm gonna overreach now and again....and this sentiment will apply. 😆

I cracked open the stamp set, trees and squares I gifted myself with over the busy holidays.

I've noticed something....when I'm too busy to craft I buy items to craft with.

 My word.

I'm gonna try and remember my bought goodies when I'm tempted at craft stores this year.

I'm grateful for the challenges that motivate me to USE the products I buy.

Cuz...new year, new me, right?!
