Snoopy Rocks

My spin for the mini in the following challenge is mini me and a mini card and a mini woodstock!!!

http://casology.blogspot.com/2015/02/week-135-mini.html

Snoopy was my childhood man!

I even had that snoopy electric toothbrush where he lays back on his house.

awwwww.

I LOVE that he's making a comeback...I follow his social accounts and laugh like a lil kid ;).

I don't know about the new movie coming out...I don't want to mess with this classic.

What do you think?

When Fat Albert's movie came out I was really pleased to enjoy that with my kids and have that to share with them...so it may be a good thing.

I guess we will see....

Hang on friends...tomorrow is FRIDAYYYYYYYYY ;)

Not a Moment

Are there moments when you are posting a card you made, and you read it for the first time?

Have you ever felt ministered to by your OWN card?

lol.

It JUST happened.

I'm not making this up.

It totally just happened.

I'm like, my own friend. ;)

I'm kinda nice, sending myself a card like this.

;)

jk, guys, jk

*that's teen text for "joking" by the way in case you aren't "in the know"...

you're welcome. ;)

Seriously,.....

I really, really needed to read it this morning.

Know Who You Are

I'm such a people pleaser.

I really am.

So when I chose this sentiment...know that it doesn't come from a place of arrogance or conceit.

In fact, if I were actually saying it out loud..it would be said in a color of oh, "gray" not such a bold black...unless the Lord chose to give me a booming voice that day.

Just sayin.

I got my inspiration from this rockin outfit at

http://runwayinspired.blogspot.com/2015/02/ric78-dkny.html

Since I'm such a "rebel",

*snort*

I used dots instead of stripes, so

yah

there you go.

;)

please tell me you know I'm joking.

I love having a blog.

I love that I can be "me" here.

I love that you "get" me here, and if you don't....well, sometimes I don't get me either.

I'm in those, as we'll say in civilized terms..."transitional" years.

;)

blessings friends~

Life is Good

There was time for me to create a card for the

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2015/02/color-throwdown-329.html

I just dove ahead with my abstract-loving heart and chopped off wherever I wanted.

I softened the angles with a circular sentiment panel.

The partial green banner and partial patterned circle finished off those favorite sheets of mine.

Don't you love when you've used up every last bit of a piece of paper and you can throw away the scraps~guilt free?

hahahaha

Happy sigh....

Hubby transported the girls to dance so guess what? I got to ink up for one more Papertrey challenge...I'm really enjoying this party going on there!

Congratulations, Papertrey~ you deserve many many more...you treat your customers with respect and provide quality, trending products.

I pulled out all my blues and layered up my go-to solid floral...The Sweet Life.

I wanted to really ombre it up...but decided less is more today.

May your day be filled with little moments of

Godly Men

Godly men should be cherished.

My brother in law is a godly man.

I stink...because I forgot his birthday!!!!

ugh.

I pray he forgives me.

Here is his card.

Thank you,

http://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com/2015/02/fusion-orange-teal-brown.html

you helped me whip up a card last night when I realized I TOTALLY MISSED HIS BIG DAY.

Now I need to run out and get a little something to tuck in that card.

I should invest in a stamp set that expresses cute expressions for when I miss the big day...

oh, well, he gets me. That's why I love him.

Grace.

Lots and lots of grace.

My whole craft desk is smiling now... ;)

I drew colors from

I'm also submitting this to the lovely challenge at

Word Art Wednesday #170: Anything Goes

I'm feeling a little off today...but not in a bad way.

It could be my age (45)..there, I've said it...but man, no one warns you about the changes.

They are a force to be reckoned with.

Thank God there is wisdom to draw from and teen girls to tell me when I'm being too wackadoodle and need to reign it in. ;)

I'll spare you the details, but if I sound like a different person every time I post...wellll,

DO IT TODAY

Today is the day.

It just IS...

trust me on this.

Today is the day to make things BRIGHT when my whole world is snowing WHITE. ;)
(2 feet of snow at the moment)

Once again...there's a button from that button stash a few weeks ago.

I'm pretty obsessive friends, so don't be surprised when you see a slew of similars in my posts.

I will stay on track until the track runs out or I can't stand it anymore and jump off.

Sisterly NY Valentine

My middle sister ROCKSSSSS!

I would not have traveled to NY without her.

The girlies and I drove with her family to New York City a few years ago and had a blast.

We got lost on the subway...saw a Broadway show...visited ritzy stores and double deckered it...basically fulfilling our dreams to experience the Big Apple.

I bet she'll be surprised I made her a Valentine card...

I pulled colors from

Sisterly London Valentine

This year I've created more Valentine cards than Christmas cards...guess I'm making up for non-stamping half a year. ;)

My London Valentine card is for my youngest sister~she visited while we were stationed in Germany over 10 years ago.

My hubby had been in Iraq for a year by then... there aren't enough words for what her presence meant to me.

We were blessed to travel to nearby cities...but one of my favorites was London.

That trip will always hold a special place in my heart.

I inked this sentiment stamp for the first time.  It's from Holiday Photo Finishers.

(use a stamp collection that hasn't seen ink or hasn't been used enough)

I'm also entering this in the challenges

&

I hope to post soon with another similar Valentine card...YAYYY for challenges that inspire!!!

Bagged + Tagged

I love when I'm inspired to create something I truly need ASAP.

I managed to find some goodies for my husband's Valentine's Day...but I didn't have a way to present it.

The grey bag looked boring until...

I used a floral die...the Year of Flowers Rose die to add another layer to a basic tag die I've had for a long time.

You wouldn't know that was a rose unless I mentioned it, right?

This sentiment was in my paper stash...and I jumpstarted there with the colors.

Yayyyy now his gift is finished. ;)

Keep in Touch for Goodness Sake

In case you've missed it...you really should head over NOW to

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/

there are fun challenges everyday and there IS TIME, friends, to participate in at least one of them.

If you don't have that time...at least comment!

As for my card...two things....

ONE...I've realized (since following Instagram accounts) I'm fascinated by architecture!

It explains my need for angles...pointy, interesting...boxy sections. ;)

I'm not very masculine, so I knew it couldn't be what brings about my abstract designs...

but NOW I KNOW it's shapes and probably the 70s kid in me.

TWO...

Ok, mushy alert....

run away while you can...

I HATE GOODBYES.

PASSIONATELY.

That is all. ;(

In fact, I hold out on "hey, let's get to know each other" until that person somehow creeps into my heart somehow and before you know it...

ugh.

They slip away and my heart is left hurting.

That's the cost of being a proud, but weary military wife for over 20 years.

"We've" been retired for 6 years and guess what???

People.

Still.

Leave.

It stinks.

The good news... God allows me to somehow love someone new...

despite my determination to protect myself.

Tears have become more comfortable for me.

I've recently turned 45 and guess what?

I've learned to embrace tears.

If I don't...they come out like harsh daggers directed toward some unsuspecting peeps and eat away at my soul or make me calloused and cold.

So, goodbyes stink.

Lots.

But, the pain is evidence that I still have a heart.

This tinman/tinlady

has.

a.

HEART.

Ok, enough mush...

You Are My ???

I was blessed with extra crafty time today!!

I'm STOKED, because that means I can participate in Papertrey Ink's Huge Party going on right now. ;)

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/

Congratulations, Papertrey, that is HUGE in this business...what a blessing!!!

May there be many, many more. ;)

Here is my card, inspired by Maile Belles.

I love the movement in Maile's split patterned panels...

it had me thinking of my Movers & Shakers Zipper Die ~there is so much room on that panel to split.

Spoiler alert...

I masked off the smaller "sunshine" sentiment in Hello Sunshine to fit under the hidden strip the recipient can peel off.

My "clouds" are from The Sweet Life...I gotta be honest here...they were inspired by my smudgy fingers.

I left little black marks that needed to be covered up by something.

At least I smudged the panels in scattered areas and not a straight line.

sigh.

How thoughtful of me to make my mistake a creative opp.

;)

I'm all about sunshine today friends...this was my latest Tweet
it's altered from a pic I took yesterday.

hahaha....my sissy gave me an Itunes card and I loaded the artwork on PicLabHD.

Well, I better let you go so you can participate and create something too.

Enjoy the Papertrey party, friends!!!

Needless to say...this island girl is ready for some serious warmth.
