Dream On Grad Card

As I cleared my craft desk off, I was able to assemble a collage of remnant die cuts~

stamps: WPlus9 Dockside Backgrounds, Pinkfresh Studio Dream On sentiment, Verve Strong Anchor ship wheel, Papertrey Ink On the Wagon palm & surfboard  dies: Taylored Expressions Crustaceans lobster,My Favorite Things Creative Clips,Verve Nautical ship wheel, Papertrey Ink On the Wagon palm & surfboard, Memory Box wreath die (inner cutaway from a square wreath)

I heat embossed the sentiment on "driftwood" months ago, but it didn't quite fit the look of my card.

It's been sitting on my desk for awhile~glad I kept it, because

it fits this ensemble well.

I did the inside up too:

stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Series 3, Verve Strong Anchor  dies: Verve Nautical, Papertrey Ink Brushed Off Rectangle

Since it's masculine:

Thanks for the visit!

Toucan Do It

I'm obsessed with fun birds.
My newest love~

Thanks to a generous sponsor, Uniko
(thank you so much, Beverley) and a drawing at TIME OUT, I acquired one. ;)

This is a technique I haven't tried yet...Yupo paper and Alcohol Inks.

stamps: Uniko Paradise toucan, Simon Says Stamp Wild Beauty sentiment, Papertrey Ink Palm Prints  dies: Papertrey Ink Palm Prints

For this month's Uniko photo challenge...I dropped orange, green and blues on to this special paper.

I wanted the background inks to be the star of this tropical summer card.

The leaves were stamped dark and he's stamped on acetate with Staz On black.

I stamped him again on paper, copic colored and fussy cut his body without a beak.

Here's the back of the two layers~

I even dolled up the inside ~using the last scrap of inked Yupo.

Aloha Palms

stamps: Papertrey Ink Splits:Happy Birthday/Palm Prints  dies: Papertrey Ink Splits:Happy Birthday/Palm Prints, Avery Elle Stay Fresh

I recently received my Mother's Day order, which included Papertrey Ink's Splits: Happy Birthday.

When the following challenge came along...

I thought the platform would serve as a terrific base.

It's already got above and below going on, right?

Stamp twice...offset a smidge to get two colors in there and add depth.

It's beginning to feel like palm prints are in season!!!

The gold sentiment is cut from Avery Elle's Stay Fresh.

If I can't go to Hawaii this year...Hawaii can come to me. ;)

You Are a Blessing & Gilded Edge

I went elegant today~

stamps: Altenew Majestic Bloom/Painted Encouragement  dies: Papertrey Ink Brushed Off Rectangle

Here are the colors~

I used a multiple layered stamp~

Since the look of gold is ON right now~

I versamarked and emboss powdered the edges for a gilded look.

Since my weekend was so jam took me awhile to get on board with the weekdays.

Let's just say today feels like my Monday, but at least I've caught up! :)

Have a good one~

Water You Up To

In the midst of my youngest girlie's prom prepping...

I had a chance to run into a Michaels.

She was getting her hair done at a friend's house, and they have a cat.

My allergies are through the roof (normally cats do me in), so I had a good excuse to kill time at a craft store. :)

That's my story friends...and I'm sticking to it.

My usual go-to excuse is to use Michaels', Joann's..any craft store's bathroom. :)

I mean, I just need to meander through a craft store now and again, you know (and practically, take a potty break).

 Anyhoo...this Pool-Riffic set.

 So fun.

( needed several inkings but my Misti does the trick).
I matched it with an Aloha die from Avery Elle.

stamps: Recollections Pool-Riffic  dies: Recollections Pool-Riffic, Avery Elle Stay Fresh "aloha"

This not so simple CAS card was inspired by these colors:

and arranged with this special technique:

If you don't know what it is (I had to google it myself)'s like a camouflaged/pop-up sentiment.

I stacked a couple of navy aloha cuts under the main layer...including the tiny excess pieces.

It's a complicated CAS, but I like the effect.

Thanks for stopping by friends~

Happy Birthday Bike

stamps: Verve Beautiful Things, Hero Arts/Sizzix On the Go Bike  dies:Winnie & Walter In a World: Happy Cutaway,Hero Arts/Sizzix On the Go Bike, Papertrey Ink Geode Layers, Simon Says Stamp

Check out this gorgeous bunch of colors I pulled from the following photo: yellow, peach and pinks.

Style: Clean and Layered

I let myself take time to craft and I need to get back to hemming my daughter's prom dress.

It's tedious and boring~ha!

I'm hand stitching because I haven't sewn with my machine in YEARS. It probably hates me by now.

Whyyyy are dresses for a 7 foot teen?

Just sayin'!

Nautical Inspiration

I love nautical themes~always have!

stamps: DoCrafts Little Fishes dies: Taylored Expressions Little Bits Crustaceans, Altenew Handmade Tags

So this photo/sketch was on my mind when I perused a local scrapbook store.

Is it no wonder I brought this lovely "color me!" stamp home?
I was determined not to be intimidated by her size...refusing to back away from "What if I screw up her outfit after all this coloring???" nonsense.
I figured if I started with her hair and skin, I could paper piece the outfit if need be.
It didn't come to that, but I had to explain myself when asked "What are you doing?" and I answered with "coloring".

The looks on their faces!! ;) was a stretch for me, yet very relaxing~yay!!!
