I Am Praying With You

Here is a rare shaker from me~

stamps: Maymay Made It Your Faith is Showing  dies: Simon Says Stamp (sentiment panel),MFT Horizontal Stitched Strip/Blueprints Panel  other: Verve free ribbon with order~THANKYOU!

I wanted to make one just because.

The bright print panel was sitting under a window in my scrap pile and I built up from there.

 Thanks for stopping in!

Hello Dear

I've been chauffeuring around my girlies since August, but somehow I still snag nice stamps!

Here is a masculine set I found in a magazine at Barnes.

It's Not What's Under the Christmas Tree

Since I had the set out, I made another Christmas card.

stamps: Essentials by Ellen Homespun Holiday  dies: Essentials by Ellen Homespun Holiday

Here's one more for the colorful challenge~this time I pulled inspiration from the bottom center photo.

I enhanced the edges of my white panel with various colors~just like some circles outlined in the photo.

When Words Won't Come

This week started off with much reflection and nostalgia for me.

I got a text from my mom, with an obituary post of my first childhood's friend's mom.

Most of my primary school memories were born at her home (she was my only best friend at the time)~and I had to track down this long-lost friend so I could send my condolences.

stamps: Papertrey Ink Palm Prints,Maymay Made It Blessed    dies:My Favorite Things Stitched Dome Frames,Papertrey Ink Palm Prints

Weird thing is, I had just been thinking about this friend a few days before.

Isn't it something how God brings to mind folks when something like this happens?

I'm grateful for the inspiration of the following challenge~monochrome.

I wasn't sure how to start (it's been at least 30 years since I've seen this friend)~but I remember the decor in her home near the beach.

Her mom was so classy, as I'm sure my friend is also. ;)

Challenges or not~creating cards is very therapeutic for me!

I pray for the recipient as I'm creating~and it helps me to process life.

Thank you, card companies, for your beautiful products.

Also, thank you for the motivation to create a tangible "hug" of sorts.

I'm praying I found the right address for this long lost friend.

WCMD 2017 Smooshing Challenge

I did a little smooshing with reinkers on acetate~pressed on watercolor cardstock.

You have to look past the chunky glitter to see it though, I went a little overboard with it. ;)

WCMD CAS Challenge

CAS cards are my favorite~

dies: Winnie & Walter In a Word: Friend Cutaway/True Multifaceted Border Cutaways, Spellbinders Classic Circles  other:Pebbles Paper Pad Basics 2

This card was especially easy, because I used a ready made cardbase.

As for the border~I've noticed that shiny paper seems to cut the best with this multifaceted cutaway~especially if you have well loved cutting plates like I do. :)

WCMD 2017/CAS Challenge with Heather H.

Probably the biggest hurdle, is actually sticking this in the mail.

 I'm working on that~

WCMD Variations Challenge

I'm still cracking away at the week long WCMD Challenges at Winnie & Walter.

WCMD 2017/ Variations Challenge With Shay

motivated me to get a twofer project done~Christmas and Birthday!

Here are my cards~

This is the first one I made.

stamps: Winnie & Walter Scenery:It's A Wonderful Pennant  dies: Winnie & Walter In a Word:Peace Cutaway

I bulked up on the Cutaway by using a thin cardboard layer under two cardstock layers.

It wasn't until I went to take a photo, that I realized my trees could also be party hats.

I stamped another~this time tilting the Christmas tree stars over so they appear as tassels~

stamps: Winnie & Walter Scenery:It's A Wonderful Pennant  dies: Winnie & Walter In a Word:
Happy Cutaway, Spellbinders Classic Circles

I'm enjoying these crafty challenges, thank you Winnie & Walter!

HAPPY WORLD CARD MAKING DAY!

Happy World Card Making Day!!!

stamps: Winnie & Walter True/In Bloom: Eva's Favorite Flowers  dies: Winnie & Walter In a Word: Hugs Cutaway, My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles

Here I used the multifaceted circle from True and dots from Eva's Favorite Flowers to create an abstract background for the diecut sentiment.

I added an interesting border of "bubbles" because I can. ;)

Well, I may need to finish off this day with this post, because I think my family misses me and we have shows on DVR to catch up on. ;)

Thanks for stopping by~

My Desk is a Mess

My desk is a mess, as always.

However, I am an "out of sight, out of mind" kind of gal....so I need to SEE everything to process it.

I'm linking this pic of my craft space to the

" A craftie can include a picture or two of where you are making all of your cards for WCMD (this may include the table you are working on, the room, locale, etc.), you crafting, your crafting companions, etc. "

This is where I do what I do~

I have papers within inches of my fingers and stamps in front and behind me. ;)

If I can't reach it...it's not making it to my card.

Simple as that.

It's a mess, but it's my creative mess and I love it. :)

Stenciled Challenge

I created my own stencils from shimmery paper~cutting with Winnie & Walter dies.

After dabbing on the ink, I LOVED the way the "stencils" shimmered so I adhered them also.

stamps: Winnie & Walter My Precious  dies: Winnie & Walter Flawless Diamond Cutaways

Look at the way the shimmery paper picked up the color~

The cutaways add a shadow effect when sitting off to the side of the stenciled images.

I love the look of Rose Gold!

I topped the card with a shiny rose gold washi tape.

Thanks for stopping by~

Layers and World Cardmaking Day

I layered up...

stamps: Winnie & Walter Scenery:It's A Wonderful Pennant  dies: Winnie & Walter In a Word:Happy Cutaway

I initially stamped the banners in white~but they didn't pop, so I embossed with white powder.

I took advantage of my home day and crafted, crafted crafted.

Yayyy for WCMD!!!!

Peace Color Combo

Another Christmas card accomplished~

stamps: Winnie & Walter Scenery:It's A Wonderful Pennant  dies: Winnie & Walter In a Word: Peace Cutaway,Avery Elle Wonky Stitches

I was inspired by the following challenges~

http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2017/09/wild-card-week-413.html

I know the news is pretty rough these days~scary scary times we live in.

As much as there is evil (and there always has been)~God is working through those that fear Him, and we are not alone.

Hold on to the Hope of all ages~
