I thank God for you sweet, sweet bloggers~

here's a shout out to Carol from Just Me: c who checked in on me recently~what a dear!!!

I've had this post sitting on the runway...and she motivated me to go into my cold crafty den/computer area to send this to "publish"...

hosted by Heather Nichols

Check out the texture here from stamping with a pigment ink first and then a dye ink...

I've always loved the look of patterned velvet...and this technique reminds me of it!

I am so grateful for the inspiration and support that comes from this wonderful cardmaking bloggy world....

TRUE LOVE

.
As often as I remind my girlies to stay level headed...I know how it goes....

love gets ahold of you...and you are TOAST.

It will change your plans, and make you almost crazy.

In the end, though, as long as it's in God's will.....it WILL BE CELEBRATED!!!

I met my husband on a "first time ever for the both of us"...BLIND DATE.

crazy talk, huh?

I look back and SHUDDER...thinking about how it could have gone so wrong.

But, here we are....married half my life with three beautifuls to testify to God's provision and grace.

sigh.

That's just how love goes ...it steers you off of your well-thought plans and takes you where you never imagined you'd ever go.

Now about this card....

I added dimension with dry embossing and sequins. I also added texture with Krylon Citrus Dream Glitter Blast.

I'm also entering this in CAS-ual Fridays CFC127:Over the Edge

Hanging off the edge is EXACTLY what I think true love is like...you stretch yourself

~beyond who you are

~for the one you love.

There is nothing more humbling...

However, I can submit this to

since I used this sketch and combo of colors.

LOVE YOU

I finally got to create with Papertrey Ink's free download.

It kind of looks like a baseball, doesn't it? LOL

I didn't want to add another layer...so I Post-It Noted it and added Aqua Mist ink directly to the cardbase.

Another Thrilling Creation

Timed challenges are about all the excitement my nerves can handle.

I could NEVER be on one of those game shows that require racing the clock.

I can't even imagine the look on my face as the time dwindled down to under 20 seconds.

YIKES!!!

I took a scrap left over from the previous post and created another card for the

In under 7 minutes I gathered:

3 papers (one patterned, one patterned scrap, 1cardbase)
2 stamps
Versamark Ink
Embossing Powder

Up to the last second of 17 minutes, I finished this card.

I even felt ambitious enough to heat emboss!

After failed proper inking and much trimming and rearranging...I finally have a finished card.

It wasn't what I started out with...but I really like it in the end.

If you feel brave enough, give it a go! ;)

ink: Papertrey Ink True Black

7 & 17 Timed Card

7 minutes to gather, 17 minutes to create.

Are you up for it?

I just dove in before over thinking it....

In just under 7 minutes, I gathered 7 supplies:

1 stamp set
2 dies
2 papers (patterned and cardstock)
2 inks

Under 17 minutes, with 1 minute and 27 seconds to spare, I created this...

I've been literally daydreaming about stamping with these Meadow Greens ...sigh, I finally got to play!

I followed the basic layout of my last post~my brain froze and I needed a plan.

I want to send out a post-sympathy card (not quite sympathy but comforting) and this sentiment was perfect.

I hope to play more, if my nerves can handle it, HA!!

Doubly Blessed

I love using Papertrey's Counting My Blessings dies.

They serve as such great focal points as far as sentiments go.

Now I love them doubly so with a technique featured at

hosted by Betsy Veldman.

What's even easier~is they fit through the small Xyron Sticker Maker~YAYYYYY!

I ran each layer through~easy peasy guys!

Top left corner is a wee bit rebellious...but not too much to be scandalous. ;)

Happy Wife, Happy Life

You can't have one without the other if you flip these two phrases around...

just ask my husband. ;)

He swears by the motto...

HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE.

hee! I can't imagine why....

?????

So, picture my delight when I spotted this label in my Jillibean Soup-Funny Sayings Soup Labels collection.

I hope this is ok for CASology's Cue Card this week...

http://casology.blogspot.com/2014/02/week-81-and.html

since these phrases go together like "?" & "?".

I'm also entering this in CAS-ual Fridays CFC127:Over the Edge

http://cas-ualfridays.blogspot.com/2014/01/cfc127.html

I LOVE letting it all hang out on a card...but I've learned over time to make sure it fits an envelope before letting that element stretch too far past the cardbase.

It broke my heart to bend features on a card to squeeze it in my largest envelope on hand...

but it was the only way to get it in the mail in the next six months...lol

Hope you're enjoying your day today friends~

You're the Best Comfort Zone!

Oh I'm all about crafting in my comfort zone~

I used a couple of my comfort zone techniques here that bring a smile to my face.

My favorite Wplus9 stamp/die combo is Written On Ribbon~there are many sentiment possibilities to combine on the flowing ribbon image.

I used my Fiskars crimper for the black panel....I LOVE ADDING TEXTURE~and I splattered.

The Dylusions turqoise spray~now that was fun~but splattering/dabbing with my black Copic marker...

oh how it makes me smile!

I don't know why...I'm sure it's because I get to "let loose" a little and feel artistic in the process.

If I were you... and you've got a Wplus9 product in your stash...I would give the challenge a go~there's a generous prize to be had!

Have a great day friends~thanks for swinging by today~
