~Tuesday Trigger Watercolor Butterflies~

(Unity You+Me=Bliss,Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Together Silhouettes sentiment,Memento markers (lulu lavender,rose bud,angel pink),Memento ink rosebud,Spellbinders Label Eleven,Scor-Pal,Georgia Pacific White cardstock,Martha Stewart corner punch,Scor-Tape)

I used Memento markers to color the stamps with ink, to get the blurry effect of this dress.

I scored here and there for dimension.

My flowers are subtle here, but they are there!

I appreciate your visit today!

~For My Mom~

My Mom loves roses.

I ordered this set to create her cards.

*Papertrey Ink Year of the Flowers:Roses,Versamark ink,Stampendous detail clear embossing powder,Papertrey ink true black premium ink,Papertrey Ink Eyelet lace border die,Xyron,Teresa Collins World Traveler,Ranger Tim Holtz distress ink fired brick, black glitter,Georgia Pacific white cardstock,American Crafts cardstock for cardbase,Tim Holtz distress tool,Kaisercraft rhinestones*

This sentiment describes my Mom.

She's a hard worker, considerate, honest and generous.

The world is blessed to have her in it-

especially those who cross her path!

I loved using the resist embossing technique with these gorgeous flowers.

I kept rubbing the fired brick ink pad around until it was the vibrancy I wanted.

The hardest part, was revealing some of the "world wonders" on the DP layer, without losing my focus on the roses.

I kept moving around that panel, and trimmed away before I lost my nerve!

I used black glitter on the border die after running it through the Xyron.

CardPatterns:Sketch 162

I appreciate you stopping by today!

~Blue Sympathy~

I am a total wimp when it comes to death.

Death and crying.

I tend to shut down.

I felt moved to create this card...but I don't mind if it gathers dust.

If it's needed, though, at least it's done and can be sent in a timely manner.

I pray it's comforting.

The beautiful sentiment and image is from Flourishes.

BLUE,FLOWERS,EMBOSS

The bit of embossing was done with my Spellbinders scalloped oval, when I ran it through a second time to raise the edges.

I then sponged it with distress ink.

~A Handbell Thank You~

This card took me a bit longer than I had hoped.

However, I learned a lot!

-PLASTIC will melt when covered with embossing powder and shot at with a heat gun.

-Embossing powder doesn't stay smooth on plastic.

-Don't take the time to "create" a handbell handle with ribbon and cardstock,

AND THEN try to attempt the above.

sigh.

live and learn.

live and learn.

I wanted to thank our wonderful director of our handbell choir with a handmade card.

Handbells are not a common trinket...but bells are!

Less is More inspired me to take these inexpensive plastic Christmas decorations and turn them into these instrument charms.

I was able to "color" these silver bells gold with a pastelike paint called INKA GOLD by Viva Decor (which I wouldn't have discovered if everything went right in my crafty world).

-I learn so much from mistakes.

I should be BRILLIANT. ;)

Check out the sketch from Retro Sketches #8

Screaming for charms, don't you think?

I appreciate you stopping by, thank you so much!

~You Make the World a Better Place~

I love this sentiment from Papertrey's Year of the Flowers: Roses

I cracked into 4 paper packs for this one after seeing this inspirational photo at Nichole Heady's Blog (the Bobunny paper is the back of the card...I attached two sheets at the top with Scor-Tape).

All that gorgeous fabric made me think of a quilt, and how each of us has a "piece" in God's plan.

There are beautiful creations to check out....see ya on the hop!

~Runway~

Martha Stewart's Caning punch comes in handy when you want to punch wherever.

Hence the name "All over the page" punch. ;)

(Dear Lizzy+American Crafts Warble sentiment,Martha Stewart Caning Pattern Punch All over the Page,BoBunny Country Garden DP,American Crafts cardstock,American crafts ribbon,Vellum,Sizzix texture plate,Versamark ink,Whispers copper embossing powder)

We had SNOW yesterday, people....so I'm pretty obsessed with sunshine today. ;)

I didn't want ANYTHING to block those windows I created.

ANYTHING.

I have grown to love orange (it's my husband's favorite color).

I used a gray ribbon to represent the "waist" on this dress, and as for gold...

check out the shine on the embossing (and gold thread).

YES! SUNSHINE! We will take it!!!

Have a great day...happy crafting. ;)

~Different Worlds & a Potter~

Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light 105 Go Green

I recycled an older atlas in my project today.

The recipient is a sweet lady at my church who always greets me with a friendly smile.

She creates BEAUTIFUL pottery, and I purchased

ODBD You are the Potter last year, with her in mind.

The "different worlds" here represent her fanned out family.

I'm not near my immediate family either, so she comes to mind in my prayers often.

Check out Inspired By #20

Can you see why I chose to cut out "globes" and add some text DP to my card?

It was the perfect jumping off point to start from.

One more thing...I was unsuccessful, at first, in sewing around the Spellbinder label.

The second time, I hand-cranked the edges.

It really helped me control those curves.

Thanks for stopping by...have a crafty Monday!

I sure hope so!

~You Plus Me~

I don't know when I last linked up to Unity's Friends With Flair-Fridays FLY for some reason.

I got some new DP today and it was fun to play with.

(Unity You+Me=Bliss,Memento ink Paris Dusk,Teresa Collins Everyday Moments,BoBunny Weekend Market Collection, spiral clips,Fiskars crimper, clear embossing powder,Martha Stewart drippy goo border punch)

I used my drippy goo border punch-FUN!

Isn't it cool that those spiral clips fit the wheels on this bike from You + Me?

I "let" my stitches be hazardous on purpose..."Bliss" is a relative term.

It doesn't have to be a smooth ride to be blissful, I say!

It's BECAUSE it takes work that it's worthwhile and valuable!

Got some hopping to enjoy....

have a great weekend. ;)

~Thank You Leaf~

I made a shaped card for Our Craft Lounge Peachy Cream Color Challenge.

I love the shape of leaves (even if it isn't Fall).

Using my Lifestyle Crafts dies, I created a simple card.

(Our Craft Lounge Shades of Fall, K&Company SW Nature pad,Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Maple Leaves dies,Ranger Tim Holtz distress ink spiced marmalade,Memento ink rich cocoa,American Crafts cardstock,Bazzill kraft paper)

I stamped on the leaves with Our Craft Lounge's Shades of Fall sentiments and leaf.

~Favorite Flourishes and Stripes~

Timeless Tuesday #165

Favorite Flourishes Set

Tiny Flowers and Tags has become a new favorite of mine.

I love to stamp the little images in windows and small spaces.

*Flourishes Tiny Flowers and Tags~Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink peeled paint~Ranger Jenni Bowlin Spice Tin~Authentique Genuine~Georgia Pacific White~Spellbinders Postage Stamps dies*

DYSU #68: Stripes

My stripes are there...very subtle, but there. ;)

I am also linking this up to Word Art Wednesday#24.

There is a beautiful verse there for you to pick up.

I know BLOOM is one word, but it's one word that can lift one's spirits.

So many times, it was that ONE FRIEND whom God gave me on this journey who's words and actions told me to BLOOM.

I pray I be that encourager to those around me!

Bloom!

Be who God created you to be!

Don't be held back by weeds of deception and discouragement!

Will it be messy?

Sure!

Is it scary?

YOU BET!

But if you don't bloom, you'll wither and die.

BLOOMING sounds so much better, doesn't it?????  ;)

~TYPEWRITERS AND A BALLOON~

*My Mind's Eye Rosy Everything~Staz On Fuchsia Pink and Pumpkin,Memento Ink tuxedo black~Zig Markers pink and orange~Georgia Pacific white cardstock*

My doodlings are the strings broken off the typewriters and balloon.

Originally, the sentiment "Happy Funny Silly" was going to be used.

However, the sentiment "thank you" gives another meaning and purpose for this card.

I've been in the balloon, so to speak...taking vacation and leaving important matters in the hands of others.

I've also been the one crushed by the typewriters (responsibilities and such) while someone (who I'm covering for) heads off to bliss. ;)

A different perspective on either end, I'd say.

My bold color choices are inspired by The Play Date Cafe: PDCC #128

I love these colors!!!

Have a great day with typewriters or balloons. ;)

~Eye Adore You~

You've got to see the variety of inspiration Cath has for you there.

I have these adorable spectacles from The Alley Way's adoraBowl set.

I HAD to use the classy pair.

*The Alley Way adoraBowl~Ranger Jenni Bowlin Spice Tin~Authentique Genuine bundle~QuicKutz square die~Georgia Pacific White~Scor-Tape 1/8"*

Aren't they a fun shape?

CAS-ual Fridays CFC48 will be SICK of me this week.

How could I not link up these opposites???-Please forgive me ladies, thanks for allowing me my third entry. ;)

Finally, I learned how to make the polaroid shape at WOW #134:DIY Polaroid Frames.

My QuicKutz square die got some love today!

Hey, thanks for visiting me, I always appreciate the company.

~Your Time~

I needed a masculine card for a speaker who visited our homeschool class recently.

I've had this wonderful collection of "flash cards" from Pink Paislee (Daily Junque Ephemera Pack) that I won awhile back from Jaclyn's blog.

They're cool; but I've been unsure of how to use them.

This Bobunny paper seemed to marry with it well!

The colors from ColourQ Challenge #133 were perfect for this project.

The clock from Our Daily Bread Designs is nice and big, emphasizing the TIME FACTOR. ;)

Our Daily Bread Designs S-P-R-I-N-G Challenge:

S-staples (I love using staples...they are "officy" and they save my adhesive)
P-patterned paper...Bo Bunny's Weekend Market
I-ink  (gotta have ink!)  I recently got this Jenni Bowlin Weather Vane-LOVE IT.
I also used Tim Holtz distress mustard seed for the sentiment and a Potter's Clay Memento marker to ink up the scallop from My Mind's Eye Rosy "Everything".

That's all for now-have a blessed day!

~Yellow Window Frames and a Sketch~

I love that there are so many delightful challenges to motivate us to CREATE!

Here is my card :

Here are the challenges:

The Craft's Meow April Sketch

Crafty Friends Challenge #2:Use two die cuts

I used two Sizzix dies to create my windows (I chopped up the lattice).

I was inspired by the way those yellow windows popped against the teal.

Doesn't it look like a friendly, fun environment?

Thank you for visiting today-hope you have a chance to create something too!

Aren't they sweet?

Even though they are little, they can be multiplied to create a centerpiece. ;)

I'm getting more and more comfortable with sewing on a card.

I'm so glad that machine is getting some love!

Thanks for stopping by. ;)

I love it-the color AND the feel.

The flowers and BoBunny are perfect for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.

~Miss You Petals~

"--Create a project utilizing your take on the challenge. Your project must use at least one Papertrey product and must include a die-cut flower made with a non-flower die."

Using my Papertrey Ink Mat Stack 3 Die, I made a humongous flower for my card.

I bent the edges in and sewed each down except the one that is lifted.

~The Lord Is My Rock~

The Lord is my rock.

It always boiled down to that whenever we moved.

I was tested and molded during those times.

What or who did I lean on?

Where did I draw my strength from?

Was it God...

or my friends, church, and familiar surroundings?

Whenever I got comfortable, the Lord allowed a move again.

The hardest was out of my country!

back of the card
*Word Art Sentiment,BoBunny Weekend Market Collection, Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink Tea Dye,Georgia Pacific White*

I printed the free sentiment from Word Art Wednesday in three different sizes

and ended up using the middle size.

These papers are perfect for a sweet lady facing a move.

The verse is even more timely.

I know it hurts right now.

It always does.

But,
I know God will show her great things and she will marvel at His provision and presence wherever she goes!

In fact, this move may be one of the major FAITH building experiences that she will draw from and remember.

Those were the moments where Jesus was my ONLY friend.

Everything and everyone else...friends,familiar structures and customs...

faded away.

 His love never fades away.

~Embellish and a Sketch~

Did you have a beautiful Easter?

Was it peaceful and serene?

Ours went well...we had a meaningful service with wonderful worship music.

Two of my girlies and I were a part of the handbell choir's presentation.

I won't lie to you...I messed up!

However, there was grace in the room and I pray God was glorified with our offer of praise.

As for crafting...
I'm so happy I was motivated to create a card combining a couple of challenges today.

It's a great way to start my week!

Here is my card...

The beautiful sketch is from CardPatterns Sketch 160 by Michelle.

The color and rhinestones were inspired by
Embellish's Jeweled Color Trends Challenge

I inked and embossed the doodle from My Little Shoebox's Summer Breeze and used baby bling from Want2Scrap to make it more special.

LOVE this Martha Stewart punch! It's fun to punch wherever you want-to get the look you want!

I know Mondays can be difficult...but hang in there!

Embrace life and it's beauty. It can be a lovely moment, song or hug.

Even better, make something pretty or yummy...you know you'll feel better!

Take care now.
