Ocean & Sand Colors

I'm sharing an everyday card today.

(stamp:Verve Words of Wisdom  dies: My Favorite Things Cross Stitch Oval, Avery Elle-ments Dotted Dies)

I used beachy ocean blues and sandy browns~

http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2016/03/just-us-girls-336-photo-week.html

Man, I could really use a trip to a warm beach right about now...

Stripes & Typography

Ever since renovating my craft space...I've been newly inspired.

I actually have room to stack things "pretty".

For example, this clipboard and letter sorter make a striking couple.

The best of both items inspired my card.

(stamps:Technique Tuesday Ordinary Days sentiment,Hero Arts Joy to the World sentiment,Verve Words of Wisdom upside down sentiment,Papertrey Ink Super Stripes)

Stripes & typography?

Oh yes. :)

I even added neon glitter!

Here's hoping these bright colors wake up your Wednesday, which may feel like a Tuesday if you were off Monday...

hahaha...

wahh????

I SEE Toile

There was a time I used to embroider, and I was allll about embroidery designs.

It was then I was introduced to toile.

Monochromatic colors keep various images unified...

(stamps:Papertrey Ink SAF 1980's/You're a Gem/Meadow Greens/The Sweet Life/Winter Woods/Movers & Shakers Sentiments)

much like a uniform does for individuals.

I went for my own toile look with multiple images from numerous stamp sets.

Do you SEE what I SEE~glasses for

Thank you for stopping in~it makes my day. ;)

Be There

Aaahhhhh dots.

They make me happy.

(stamps: My Favorite Things Bokeh Builder)

These colors also make me happy~

http://www.cardchallenges.com/2016/03/mft-color-challenge-42.html

The sentiment is stamped in gray~

I love that masculine font!

I toyed with multiple panels until I came up with this "focal" set of dots.

It was great of you to stop by today!

sEvEnTeEn

In between my eldest, 20, and my youngest, 15, I have a 17 year old.

She's quiet, but sooo wise and sooo sweet.

I'm super proud of her and her latest ventures.

She is seeking her way and plowing ahead to face adulthood with fortitude.

(Heidi Swapp September Skies panel plus sequins and a bow)

Once she sets her mind on something it's DONE..and I have no doubt God will bless her courage and faith.

Isn't it awesome to see your "kids" growing into who they are meant to be?

I love the adventure!

Sketch & the Blues

I don't normally load a post with multiple cards...but they coordinate so well.

They're like,

squad goals. :)

Navy is IN, guys, believe it!

I'm seeing it everywhere, and I'm loving it.

My first card, based on a sketch~

The second,

(stamps:Papertrey Ink Super Stripes, Sweet Stamp Shop Fall Gratitude feathers,Technique Tuesday Ordinary Days)

although not nautical...mimics the stripes, incorporates the navy blue...

not to mention, is very masculine (but hey, if you like feathers sister, more power to you!...*insert fist pump emoji*).

TwEnTy

So, I've mentioned, my eldest turned 20.

That's TwEnTy guys...

can't.

even.

The good news is, she still keeps me young.

(die:My Favorite Things Die-namics Skyline Border  other:Heidi Swapp September Skies panel,Teresa Collins Tell Your Story Die cut,Ikea paperclips)

Have I mentioned I literally CHOKE cuz she makes me laugh so hard???

It's kinda dangerous...but worth it. ;)

I always think of her when I see a cityscape cuz

girlfriend loves the city.

She also shines like there's no tomorrow~hence the shiny metallic cardbase and clips.

By the way, found the fun paper clips at Ikea...

aren't they adorable???

Rain or Sunshine & Baby Girl's Edit

This is the best day to post a rainy day pic; glad I snapped this photo seconds before it started drizzling...

(stamps:Simon Says Stamp Scribble Flowers, Papertrey Ink Hello Sunshine  die:Silhouette Cameo Megan Hardy Designs Girl With Umbrella)

I mentioned that baby girl started editing again.

I asked her if I could use one of them to post.

She said "surrrrrrrre". ;)

When I saw the SSS challenge, I thought of this photo of hers~

Isn't her photo edit amazing?

She just comes up with this stuff and messes with pics.

I love it!

The colorful umbrellas in this Just Add Ink photo inspired the multiple sunshine dot colors of my card.

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/2016/03/just-add-ink-304inspiration.html

There's lots of masking and "almost" one layer.

FiFtEeN

Each of my girlies are getting a special card.

This one is for my youngest.

She's fifteen,

but has been "sixteen" since she was like, 3.

I guess that's what happens with the baby. ;)

Each of my girlies are artistically talented, but I focused on baby girl because she started editing images again.

(stamp: Sweet 'n Sassy Grunge Elements  die:My Favorite Things Skyline Border other: Royal Langnickel Watercolors & Folk Art Green Glow)

I used the sketch here

http://casethissketch.blogspot.com/2016/03/case-this-sketch-164.html
(but missed the entry boat)

and then

I stamped, watercolored and die-cut/splattered for the first CAS Mixed Media Card Challenge~

Clothing vs Cards

I finally got a card done for the Coffee Lovers Bloghop!

(stamps: My Favorite Things You're My Cup of Tea, Papertrey Ink Super Stripes/The Sweet Life  dies:Papertrey Ink The Sweet Life)

Inspiration is everywhere...even in my dressing room...

I lay my top on my humangous purse and thought...hey I like that!

It's one thing to walk around in those colors...but making a card is SERIOUS BUSINESS GUYS. ;)

right?!

Lace and a Verse

When I wanted to learn about creating cards many moons ago...I started peeking at card blogs.

I came upon Amazing Paper Grace

who led me to Our Daily Bread Designs.

I had no idea that such a gorgeous variety of  Bible Verses and images could be found in ONE PLACE.

I was smitten.

I was inspired.

Fast forward to the present...their 8th Anniversary!

 Congratulations Our Daily Bread Designs!

(stamp: Our Daily Bread Designs Bless This Home(retired)  dies:My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circle Stax,Avery Elle Wonky Stitches  other:Prima Flowers, Martha Stewart seals inked with Tim Holtz Black Soot Distress ink, American Crafts Ribbon, water colored circle)

ODBDSLC272~Scripture and Lace

I usually aim toward CAS, abstract, angled (think architecture)...so the lace factor had me stumped.

I rummaged through my stuff to find these Martha Stewart seals I've had for awhile.

After peeling these off their sheet, I spread them around on Black Soot Distress ink.

They seemed a bit too dark, but

a baby wipe softened the color~so I placed them on the card.

Those still held quite a stick after going through all that!

The sentiment panel was watercolored (it's what I built up from).

That's the long and short of the creating part.

Getting back to the company...

I'm glad they are still around, serving the Lord. ;)

You have lots of time to participate in the challenge and wish them well.

Thanks for stopping by~

Yellow, Purple, Pink

I'm feeling a wee bit out there~

fighting something sicky at the moment.

Hence, the reason this tree seems like it's from a dream. ;)

(stamp: Verve Scripture Medley 1, Papertrey Ink Mighty Oak  dies:Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Banner Duo, My Favorite Things Die-namics Poppies and Leaves)

I used poppy dies to give the tree a billowy feel~

Check out the beautiful pastels at this challenge...

(stamps:My Favorite Things Bokeh Builder,Verve Birthday to You Plain Jane  die:Spellbinders)

LOVE these colors, esp the lime!

My gray panel IS gray...it just looks almost black.

You still have time...

Simple Journal Card Creation

I had laid out this journaling card when I created with similar colors a few posts ago.

It made a pretty card all on it's own...but I added layers and stamped another sentiment.

Originally I was aiming for St. Patrick's Day~but missed that boat.

No matter...it works anytime the weather is sweet.

It WILL get sweet someday, right?!

Right?!

(stamp: My Favorite Things Let's Hang Out  die: My Favorite Things Cross Stitch Oval  other:WeRMemory Keepers Journaling Cards)

Check out this citrus blend of colors~

80's Vibe

My word.

I remember thinking I was sooo clever when writing this sentiment in yearbooks...

bAcK iN tHe day.

cracks. me. up.

(stamps & dies: Papertrey Ink SAF 2014-1980's Kit  other:Sizzix star,nail polish dots,We R Memory Keepers Crafter's Stapler)

I used the 80's vibe and modernized it with colors from the following challenge.

http://inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.ca/2016/03/challenge-104-colour-pink-and-grey.html

I should send it to one of my high school friends...just because. ;)

Have a good one~

Create Along With Us March 2016

 I loved making this card~

(stamps: Papertrey Ink You're a Gem  dies: Papertrey Ink You're a Gem)

My jaw dropped when I saw Amy's card.

I cased the concept~stamping my own "ombre" by inking each word with two versions of the same color, darker and lighter.

I die-cut white gems, placed them over clear acetate, inked and stamped again (lining up over the original stamping best I could).

I removed the acetate, ran each gem through a xyron sticker maker and lined them as close as possible to the original stamped words.

 I used the colors from

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2016/03/color-throwdown-384.html

Mother Card

I'm ahead of the game...I made a card for May's Mother's Day for my MIL.

(stamps:Sweet n' Sassy Precious Poppies,Inkadinkado lily  dies:Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Banner Duo, My Favorite Things Sentiment Strips, Spellbinders Classic Circles  other:My Mind's Eye Picket Fences cardbase)

She likes purple, so these colors inspired me~

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/2016/03/just-add-ink-302-colour.html

I took a ready made card base and added the layers.

boom.

I'm also submitting this to

 Time Out Challenge #51 & 2nd Birthday!
Easter and/or Spring with the optional technique twist of masking.

Now I can put this in a "special" place where I'll probably lose it.

I seem to roll that way.

ha!

Thanks for stopping by~

Bit O' Green

Guys, I used a bit o' green today...

(stamps: Papertrey Ink City Scene/You're a Gem  dies:Avery Elle Wonky Stitches, My Favorite Things Cross Stitch Oval,Papertrey Ink City Scene  other:WeRMemory Keepers Journaling Cards)

Ok, maybe more than a "bit"...but once I chomped on that bit I couldn't stop! ;)

My daughter is literally in a school of trying to make people LOL,

so I'm keeping this card in my back pocket for her next show!

Huge shout-out to the following challenges who motivated me to create...

Couldn't Have Done It Without You

I so appreciate when people get me.

It just helps me do life...

better.

It's even sweeter when I get me...

  too.

ha!

Easter and/or Spring with optional technique twist of masking

I believe this floral panel was thrown in with a Unity order (thank you!!!).

I've had it sitting there begging for MORE in life than laying by the wayside. ;)

Shaker Elephant Card

I finished a birthday card for my niece (it's next month~aren't you proud?).

(stamps:WPlus9 Unforgettable  dies:My Favorite Things Die-namics Wonky Stitched Circle Stax/Horizontal Stitched Strips)

I'm glad I saw these colors...

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2016/03/color-throwdown-383.html

because the elephant was rescued off a card that wasn't executed right (I've grown as a cardmaker over the years).

I know it's a "baby" elephant but I wanted it for my elementary aged niece~so rhinestones and sequins step it up a notch.
