~Leafy Pinwheel~

I want to thank all the sweet bloggers who stopped by and commented on my girls' cards~you rock!

If you haven't seen the cards, here they are: Amanda's, Shelby's, and Mallory's.

I'm so proud of my girlies~it was fun to craft and bond!

I had so much fun yesterday, I didn't get a chance to post my
 fall pinwheel card.

I used my Sweet n' Sassy leaf dies on some beautiful paper that came with my Eclectic Paperie order~thank you Kim!

I folded each leaf in for a pinwheel effect.

I followed the sketch from

~Shelby's Card~

I have three girls...and Shelby girl is my middle.

She's a sweetie pie.

My 13 year old, soon to be 14 year old created this sweet number.

Yummy huh?

She's entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge for kids.

I love that she made a shaped card...using circle dies, a crimper, and my drippy goo border punch.

She colored in those yummy flavors of mint chocolate chip, chocolate chip, chocolate and strawberry.

Umm, I'd like a bowl also please! ;)

I'm so so proud of my creative girlie Shel.

Way to go in creating such a realistic foodie card.

I'm so glad you participated Shelby!

Once again, thank you, Simon Says Stamp...you inspired my girls and blessed me with company in the craft room!

~Mallory's Card~

My oldest daughter, Mallory, was inspired by the challenge at

Simon's Says Stamp~just for kids.

Here is her trendy, cool creation.

Girlfriend loves her pink and black.

So posh and stylish, don't you think? ;)

Just like her!!!

Once again, I'm a proud, proud Mama!

I let Mallory play with the distress inks, PTI Grunge Me and Waltzingmouse Stamps to let her vision take shape.

It was fun to have her in my craft room!

Thank you Mallory, for spending the time with me.

Thank you, Simon Says, for hosting this awesome challenge. ;)

~Amanda's Card~

Mama bear can't stop beaming about baby girl's card.

I mean WOW.

Only the rat was stamped~EVERYTHING ELSE was hand drawn and cut.

Amanda, my 11 year old, created this for the

Simon Says Stamp Challenge:

What a fantastic opportunity to let the kids show their talent.

Amanda, thanks for making Momma's Day!!!!  ;)

~Get Well~

I don't make many of these cards.

I should.

Get Well cards seem to be needed on my spot of the globe.

I was mesmerized by the inspirational photo at

It's the coolest/weirdest outfit I have ever seen.

For me, cool and weird are synonymous.

Mostly.

I mean, where did those flowers APPEAR from...and check out the funky jacket~

I can't take my eyes off of this outfit.

I incorporated crimping to mimic the pinstripes and tried to make the flowers APPEAR, somehow.

I followed the sketch from

~Gratitude~

was a fun challenge to play with.

I toyed around for a few hours and came up with a boxy leafy card.

I inked and stamped twice for each color...that's where the "hours" part came in.

I don't mind...it's very therapeutic and makes me practice!

The awesome modern colors are from the

Wow, is it really that time already?

I created this card for our big table.

I hope to make two more using the other dies from the Counting My Blessings set.

I got my first Papertrey Ink impression plate~ Herringbone ~ it was used on the mustard paper before it was cut with the die.

Here's the inspiration for the hop:

~Merci~

A sweet friend sent me some creativity tape in the mail last week.

I used it on this card to thank her.

I background stamped with the chicken wire~

Oh how I love this chicken wire stamp!!!! ;)

I have a hard time telling when this Antiquities embossing powder is "done", but I love the gritty feel when it is.

Even if it "burns", it seems to be ok.

I used the

lovely sketch from

I used Flourishes' bee from Tiny Flowers and Tags and JustRite letters~

~Torn Away in Brilliance~

A young man was torn away from this earth on Friday.

15.

Young, vibrant...full of life.

May Jesus be with his family and friends who are suffering an unspeakable loss.

A fitting theme for our corner of the world right now.

There are no words for such a loss.

~CASE Study~

I recently started participating in the CASE Study challenges~lots of inspiration there!

This week, CASE Study Challenge #104,  we are to case one of the design team members.

I CASEd Clare's 4th Card Here.

One thing I love about Clare's work, is when she puts some surprise texture in her cards.

I love that!

I didn't add a paper ruffle, but I used soft colors and kept the strings for an unexpected "something" tucked behind the sentiment panel.

I also added crimping to 1/3 of the label.

My colors are inspired by

Since I'm using Verve Words of Wisdom,

The splotches are my favorite to play with also.

My colors were inspired by

~10 Min Card!!!~

I was afraid to do this, but jumped in anyway.

Could I do it?

Could I save a card in 10 minutes?

I figured I'd just start.

It happened in 8 minutes (give or take a second).

The apple is a sticker (ripping the bag open took me the longest time).

I stamped the sentiment on the sticker and assembled remnants.

My favorite way to create is to use what's left on my desk.

Try it.

Come on.

Just Start. ;)

My sentiment is from Verve's Words of Wisdom.

The sentiment inspired me to jump in! ;)

Make something today!

~Tongue In Cheek Anniversary Card~

I don't have an anniversary sentiment for Verve's Anniversary Card Challenge,

but I felt this would do.

Plus, it's the truth. ;)

Right?

My husband and I have been married 20 years.

It's not perfect.

But it sure is wonderful!!! ;)

I used silver embossing powder and a "wood grain" dp to fit the challenge.

There is still lots of time left to participate~

~Just Be~

What a blessing it is when God gives you a FRIEND.

I ran into my friend yesterday...we haven't seen each other for awhile!

We don't get together often (busy mommies we are), but knowing she cares is enough for me.

She was the first person here that let me JUST BE.

Nothing to prove.

Nothing to earn.

She loved me because God loved me.

That's special, guys.

They don't come by very often.

God gives them when you really need them~a reminder that He loves us.

For my friend....

I picked up this fun, crazy DP months ago.

It spoke to me happy thoughts...but I didn't know what to use it for until this challenge.

WOO HOO number 150!!!!

Congrats ColourQ!

Another inspirational site:

Check out their quote this week...it's a sweet one!

May God send you someone that loves you just because "you are"~especially when you really need it.

Blessings!

~Hoo Loves You?~

I warned you...

I  love these colors and I want to use them up!

I got to use my Memory Box Jasmine frame die (which is beautiful, by the way), but I felt the "left behind" rustic cut was more suitable for the cutie pie owl.

Isn't his expression cute?

By the way, that set "Owl Be Thinking of You" is ON SALE at The Craft's Meow...as well as some others being retired.

Just thought I'd pass on the savings alert!

There's one more day for the challenge:

~Autumn Waits & a Hand Stitched Leaf~

is hosted by Heather this week.

Hand stitching on a card!

I pierced holes through my embossed leaf (just like Heather instructed) and then back stitched with embroidery thread.

Yes, it took some time, but

I like the thick, finished texture.

The recipient will KNOW you put some heart and soul into it. ;)

Check out Cath's Tuesday Trigger Photo

Her blueish slacks make the orange pop~just like the blue panel in my card accomplishes.

I love throwing blue and orange together.

~For Baby~

I don't make enough of these...

I should!

Babies are such a blessing and they grow fast!

Before we know it...the babies aren't babies. ;(

I used Papertrey Ink's Bitty Baby Blessings ducky here.

I was inspired by the theme at

I was going to sew on it for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday,

but decided to stop at the piercing.

The lines are thin and I didn't trust my sewing! ;)

I'm sure that this mini-card will come in handy for a quick gift-sewn or not.

The recipient won't have the time or energy to notice the missed stitches~

~Limited Edition~

The best thing about a hand-crafted card or project,

is that it's LIMITED EDITION~

just like you and me!

No two are alike, and we can praise God for that!

Hard as we try to be like the rest...

our quirkiness, fingerprints, and "personal flair" stand true and scream loud...

"I'M UNIQUE!"

See that glitter?

I had it in my stash for awhile.

I pulled out my Hero Arts stamps for the Hero Arts August Sketch Challenge.

I'm also submitting this to Simon Says Stamp:Let's Play Bingo
