~Waltzingmouse Sketch and the Q~

My husband's birthday is coming up.

I ordered this sentiment awhile ago, because it TOUCHED MY HEART when I first read it.

AWWWW, right?

I used two fun borders from Heirloom Patterns.

The colors are from the

Hubby LOVES ORANGE...so I made sure there were lots of orangy pops.

I only had slivers of the green~enough to cut the top and bottom of the tag for a stacked feel.

The wee bittiest bit of pink (my husband already has three girls and a froufrou doggy... gotta take it easy ya know). ;)

The poppy is in the flower and highlight.

Simon Says Stamp and Show:What Do You Say?
is all about the sentiment.

 Thanks for stopping by today~

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #180

CASE a DT member's card.

I CASED Silke's gorgeous snowman card here.

It's clean and crisp and she layered two different shapes that gives an interesting focal point.

I layered a couple of different shapes in my card here:

I used bold, fun colors from

The PlayDate Cafe #142

By the way, it's a farewell to four wonderful ladies on the DT...so even if you don't link up this week (it took me awhile to jump in the last day), you can  stop by and say farewell.  ;(

This is also the last day to link up to

The Craft's Meow July Sketch Challenge.

I used Fruity For You to make a congratulations card for a recently married couple.

The pink embossing is HOT PINK and almost blinding if you stare at it too long...but REALLY FUN to play with against the blue.

Thanks for stopping by today!

~Timeless Tuesday and Hydrangea~

is Christmas in July!

I used my Hydrangea set, and embossed it with silver.

I figured, why not use it for Christmas?

 Retrosketches #22
gave me inspiration for the border placement.

I've been stamping like mad since yesterday with all this energy...it's a blessing when the ball gets rolling and I can tangibly create something that I've mulled over.

Circuits are clicking for now~I'm enjoying the marathon crafting. ;)

This past week of Archery Camp was a blast.

The girlies and I were so blessed to be a part of it!

I made thank you cards for the incredible coaches~I also created one for the new friend I made.

Forgive the dark photos~it was dreary when I photographed these~

I felt they would fit in Laurel's Inspired By #34 Challenge

It's funny, before this week, I would have said, "Those are lovely rosettes"~now, I'm looking for a point of reference to aim for! ;)

Yes, "point of reference,stance,nock,aim..."

I have a STACK of new words to add to my vocab list!

I am also entering this in Simon Says Stamp:Anything Goes

for my new friend~

Thanks for stopping by~it's always a pleasure!

~You Always Know~

My husband and I reached 20 years this summer...

20 YEARS PEOPLE!!!

It means he knows me better than I know myself!

He recently was my "listening ear" and I wanted to make him a special card~to let him know how much I appreciate his concern when it comes to my well-being.

He's got ONE BIG LISTENING EAR, that's all I gotta say!

He's probably nodding his head while reading this...very enthusiastically, I might add!!! ;)

I chose this precious image from Technique Tuesday's Fly.

See how the girl is following the boy...but still a part of the fun?

That's like my husband...taking a kite, so to speak...and leading the way.

He's the fun one in our marriage. ;)

I could be in the "Woe is me" state of mind, and he will throw in
something HILARIOUS...

~What a blessing to have him add joy and laughter to my life~!

I chose this sentiment from a different set, You Always Know.

Isn't it SWEET?

It conveyed exactly what I was feeling when I saw the image.

I incorporated the colors and dry embossing for

I added the smallest amount of pink with my Memento Marker (to keep it masculine)...I love doing the speckling thing.

Thanks for stopping in and taking the time to visit~

~Friends With Flair and CAS-ual Friday~

It's Friday~time for Unity's Friends With Flair.

I got this lil' guy recently...I LOVE SNOWMEN and he's SO CUTE.

I love the graphic feel to this image.

My card is very CAS-colors drawn from

I pulled out my Spellbinders classic circles and layered them.

When I stamped the sentiment, I pulled out the colored circles so the stamp didn't have to work too hard~just two layers to cover.

Have a great Friday~thank you for stopping in today!

~be true.~

I am thrilled to have found some hexagon paper to join the fun in the

The tag is cut from Authentique's Jovial from the Carefree collection.

I paired it with Teresa Collins and BoBunny to mimic this sketch from

by Tracey!

No stamping on this one~the sentiment is from Pink Paislee's Daily Junque Ephemera Pack.

I added to my "You know when you're a cardmaker" list on my sidebar...hee hee hee....I sewed the button like NOW...and realized how SLOW I AM at sewing a button on a pair of trousers.

OOOOPS...sooooo busted!

I guess it's not CREATIVE,FUN or pretty to fix something...

Still, ahem, I'm SO SORRY HON!

This will go to a dear friend...so I am entering this in

Well, hope you had a reason to smile today~God bless!

I wanted to participate in the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge #107.

based on these inspirational photo colors:

I added sewing for Less Is More:Week 77 ~Sewing

The gorgeous frame is from Joan's generous prize pack that included Little Yellow Bicycle's Clear Cuts Shapes~LOVE!!!

One quote I've heard this week at archery camp that convicted me

...."BE TEACHABLE"...

Yes, you are NEVER too old to learn new things.

I signed up with my girls and I'm learning a ton of lil' details about holding a bow; aiming at the target; etc.

Just when I think I know what I'm doing...there's another step!

It's just like life, I guess. ;)

I kept most of the card white with just a pop of color for

The stitches I chose for my card mimic the subtle ruffles in the cake...the frame has gentle dots circling around...

Thanks for stopping in today~I appreciate the company! ;)

Word Art Wednesday July 25

This is my last week as guest designer for Word Art Wednesday.

It was such a blessing~thank you ladies, for having me!

Here is the card I created with this week's quote.

I suspect that most of the battles we face first, are in the mind.

It can be so discouraging when we take our eyes off of God and look at our feeble selves.

I KNOW I'm not all that.

But HE IS.

When I focus on that...I can face another day!

As for details on the construction of this card...

I resized the beautiful quote and printed it. Then, I stamped clouds from KaiserCraft's Fine & Sunny over the sentiments and cut them out.

The kite is from Pink Paislee's Prairie Hill-I heat embossed it with Stampendous Pearlustre Rubellite.

The arches were made by die cutting Spellbinders classic circles...four at the same time.

I sure hope you'll join us this week to share your work!

Also, check out the color combo at Color Throwdown #202

~Enjoy Summer~

I created this card for my oldest, Mallory.

She has been saying almost everyday...

"Best Summer EVER!"

Since summer break began, we have been exploring, shopping, hanging around the tennis courts...fun,fun,fun!

My girlies convinced me to buy car stickers for our van at the checkout counter at Walmart (DANGEROUS TERRITORY~that last chance to buy WHATEVER!)...

Anyway, there were extra stickers because I had to buy 2 packs to get 3 girl stickers.

It's a fun way to use the extras! ;)

A lot of practice went into how to arrange...what letters to leave out...what colors to use and where....

I kept thinking of Scrabble (which I win 50% of the time when my husband and I play...it's the only game that gives me those decent odds!).

~Stamp-A-Faire Camp Card Set Challenge~

Betsy Veldman's technique of partially die cutting patterned paper and then stamping in the void is such a fun look!

I zig-zagged down the card with that inspiration.

I also used Betsy's technique of wrapping a card set in a paper bag.

It is so easy and economical!

~Stamp-A-Faire Tie-Dye Techniques~

I utilized Jessica Witty's technique for the Camp Card Set Challenge to get the raised snowman here.

As for his cool coloring...

I used Nichole's Copic Tie-Dye Technique to get that effect.

I actually had a hard time sleeping last night...because I was dreaming of myself making this...LOL.

Thinking creatively before bed is not a good idea...I should have just gotten up,created, and went back to bed!

The snowman was embossed from the flat side...just like Jessica taught ;) ...except I am showcasing the outie look.

I had so much fun with the Tie Dye technique~I'd like to play with that more.

I am also entering this at Inspired By #33

Check out that wonderful blue/yellow oar!

My snowman likes those colors~ ;)

It needed something and the clear acetate with stamped border finished it for me.

~CAS-ual Stamp-a-Faire Ribbon~

HEAD OVER TO NICHOLE'S BLOG this weekend...there's a party going on.

I made this card, using Betsy Veldman's Bitty Dot Ribbon technique.

I'm usually not big on handling fire...but it was fun to hover that ribbon over a pleasant smelly candle and let it curl a bit~I only finished the tops.

The black card base is for

I'll keep it short...I want to craft more so...

~LIM and the Q~

Less Is More Week 76:One Layer 3

Three of anything that is, three colours, three images, three stamps, three words, the number three.... it's up to you, but don't forget the white space, a simple design and just one layer!

It took many, many, many attempts to get these ladies lined up
(the middle one dipped).

I enjoyed it...very therapeutic! ;)

I felt like something was needed under the sentiment, so I drew a line with 3 little squiggles. ;)

I matched up the Unity Itty Bitty Share Your Smile with 3 leaves from Waltzingmouse's Teeny Trees.

My colors were inspired by the
