Hello Vacation

A member at Brutus Monroe's Fan Club gave a challenge prompt to die cut a card panel for a card.

 

 

I cut a smaller rectangle, and used it in a card panel scrap I had.

Magical Seahorse

I received the coolest happy mail recently.

A friend I haven't seen in years sent me this Pink Ink Designs Seahorse Swirls, because she had 2. ;)

Pink Ink Designs Seahorse Swirls, Stamplorations Cutplorations Magical die, Reverse Confetti Abyss ink, Brutus Monroe Foundation Circle dies

I was intimidated to color it right away (it's a big image), but I didn't want that to stop me.

 This ocean theme challenge had me motivated!

First I stamped it with Reverse Confetti's Abyss ink on a turquoise panel.

I die cut the image with Brutus Monroe's Foundation Circle dies and stamped the image again on a white card panel.

I lined the two images up, added some gold shimmer circles and matched it with a Stamplorations Cutplorations Magical sentiment.

I saw the following photo and loved the dipped pink and white vase.

I painted pink on white and die cut a rectangle, then stamped the Hero Arts Dress Up image.

Other elements were cut from the painted area as well.

Beautiful Birthday

I used some paint on my project today~

 

 

 Hero Arts Dress Up sentiment/Stamp & Cut Alpha Tabs die, Brutus Monroe Cardstock (Sea)/Foundation Circle dies, Delta Ceramcoat Paints (Pumkin, Hydrangea Pink), Tim Holtz Advantus Idea-ology Vintage Washi, My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles

 I used wall tape to get a clean edge and painted some Delta paint on white cardstock.

I die cut the tab and stamped an older sentiment from Hero Arts.

I stuck to one corner and kept it CAS for the following challenge:

I love using Jawbreaker paper from Brutus Monroe.

 

 

This time I added a sliver from another new fave~Neon Glow.

I added elements that were die cut from bubble wrap envelopes~this particular one had a sterling color inside.

I'm officially on the foiling train.


I even picked up a hot laminator.

 Don't tell my husband (who recently purchased the laminator)...this card didn't need it.

Brutus Monroe Lots of Love (Card Panel, stamp, digital cut)/Foundation Square Dies/Cardstock (Heather,Slate)/Red Static Foil Sheet/Jute String

This foiling used a leftover transfer sheet from a previous project.

I loved the red sheet left behind, look at those perfect squares!!

I used Elmer's spray adhesive to attach the remnant to a Lots of Love card panel.

You'll see in this pic that I first tried a double stick tape...and it picked up the red.

I had to tie that down instead.

Spray adhesive helped.

I notched the corners with a hole punch (partial cut), so the jute wouldn't slide on the slippery sheet.
