~OLW 80~

(My Mind's Eye Rosy "Everything" stamps,Our Daily Bread Time,Flourishes Enjoy the Ride,Inkadinkado pigment ink sky blue,Creative Memories corner rounder,Staz On ink fuchsia,Georgia Pacific white cardstock)

I love this image of a beautiful tightrope walker.

I resisted this stamp two months ago, but picked it up today.

I don't have the guts nor the desire to walk a tightrope.

Seeing someone else do it makes me nervous too.

I have no idea why, but I find this image soothing and beautiful.

Maybe because I can imagine she is two feet off the ground. ;)

~The Play Date Cafe and a CardPatterns Sketch~

Babies are sprouting all around me and I'm behind.

This came out to be a surprise for me-Yayyy!

(Ellison Oh,Baby!,Papertrey Ink Fruit Fusion apple stamp,The Craft's Meow Tweet of You,Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper pad,Inkadinkado pigment ink sky blue,Ranger Tim Holtz distress ink marmalade ink,Bazzil cardstock,Creative Memories corner rounder)

By the time I tucked in those ribbons, I saw a baby card forming.

All it took was the sentiment to seal the deal.

I used colors from The Play Date Cafe PDCC 120.

CardPatterns Sketch 154

I enjoyed putting this card together. ;)

I can't wait to stick it in the mail.

~MIM #55~

Dawn has a fun tutorial to try out at Nicole's

(Papertrey Ink All Booked Up,Papertrey Ink Communique Curves Sentiments,Papertrey Ink Mat Stack 3 die,Memento ink rich cocoa,Staz On red,Bazzill cardstock,American Crafts AC cardstock,Creative Memories corner rounder, Want2Scrap bling)

I love my frame from All Booked Up.

It's the only PTI frame I have (so far), so I doubled it to get a ticket shape.

I fussy cut and notched a spot for the ribbon to tab up top.

It's gratifying to achieve a new look with a popular stamp.

The two borders were screaming for something...

my sewing machine got some attention today. ;)

Have a great Monday-thank you for stopping by.

~LIM CASual Scraps and a Pun~

Aaaah, the perfect opportunity to use this delicious fruit I've had sitting around-waiting to be loved.

(The Craft's Meow Fruity for You,Pearlescent liquid acrylic macaw green,Versmark ink,Whispers black embossing powder,Teresa Collins DP,Georgia Pacific grey,Kid's Jewelry Friendship thread)

I was tickled to receive a gorgeous bottle of Pearlescent green liquid acrylic from a sweet lady at church. (She has generously passed bags of crafty goodness to me the past three Sundays).

I was playing right away and used it to paint over cardstock.

I then stamped and heat embossed the pear and fussy cut it.

Yummy Iridescence!

That pear definitely needed to star somewhere.

The pieces of cardstock here are also scraps.

I love using them, because I get a surprise shape like the orange triangle.

The punny statement is perfect for

CAS-ual Friday CFC 41

Have a great weekend~ ;)

~CAS Winter Blues~

(Unity Happiness Is,Unity Shut the Front Door,Memento Ink rich cocoa,MS twine,Ellison Thin Cuts Happy Birthday balloons,Bazzill cardstock)

The Unity Opportunity Challenge is to go CAS!

Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge in the Moxie Fab World inspired me to use this scrap of navy blue.

I love the way it looks with white and brown accents-clean and crisp.

This is my "faux" sidestep card.

Instead of one card cut and scored for multi-levels,

a blue cardbase strip was attached to a white cardbase strip to give the allusion of a multi-step card.

It's a great way to use those scraps!

Less Is More Week 56:Don't Scrap It

In addition to cardbase scraps, I used balloons that were left over from a previous project.

Thank you for stopping by today! ;)

~Inspired By Happy Birday Q~

My Craft's Meow stamp set recently arrived-what a blessing!

I used it, the Colour Q colors and Inspired By photo to create this card.

(The Craft's Meow Tweet of You,Memento ink London Fog,Piggy Tales DP,Basic Grey DP,Georgia Pacific white cardstock,Recollections music punch,Fiskars Rotary cutter with deckle blade,Sizzix texture plate,Creative Memories corner rounder)

Since it's punny and CAS, I am also entering this in

The color of the flowers and grey/blue typewriter are what I took from this photo.

~Throwdown Colors~

Here is a creation inspired by Color Throwdown colors.

(Flourishes He is Risen,Bazzill cardstock(pink sponged to orange),Piggy Tales DP(blue),Georgia Pacific Cardstock,Spellbinders Classic circles,Spellbinders Label Four,Copic orange and green,Tim Holtz Distress ink marmalade, Recollections music punch)

While coloring and creating my card, I could hear my sweet grandma's voice so clearly in my head singing

"Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia..."

It doesn't matter that she's been long gone here on earth....
her praises still ring through all eternity!

Amen?

Amen!!

~Home Sweet Hello~

Homespun.

Sweet, comfy goodness.

I admire the style.

I'm a graphics girl at heart~so here's my version of homespun.

I know just the recipient for this-a friend of mine who is an amazing quilter.

I owe her a "Hello/hugs/from the heart" card. ;)

I designed this for the Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:Home Sweet Home.

I was inspired by the beautiful Card Patterns Sketch 153

Hope you have a blessed week with happy surprises and comfy goodness.

~London!~

Simon Says Stamp and Show:LONDON
inspired me to create a card for my sister.

While we were stationed in Germany, she came to visit.

If it weren't for her, I would have never had the guts to travel to

my dream destination~London.

With her help, I was able to do so with my girlies in tow 8 years ago.

Look how wittle they were!!!

BTW, they wore those hats on the flight home(zero room to store elsewhere)...they weren't too thrilled about it.

I don't care...they looked way too cute in my photos!

I made a card for my sweet sister~I owe her a hello/thinking of ya.

I was so excited to use my cool double decker bus button.

(Papertrey Ink Grunge Me,Papertrey Ink All Booked Up,Spellbinders classic circles,Ranger Tim Holtz distress ink fired brick,Sassafras flowers,Piggy Tales DP,Bazzill cardstock,Memento ink london fog,Creative Memories corner rounder)

I'm hoping she will remember that chapter of time...when we got to visit Shakespeare's globe and other cool sites.

We are both English majors, so that was a HAVE TO.

We even rode those red buses!

I glittered up some buttons for Make It Monday #54:Glitter Buttons.
Ashley's tutorial offers a variety of ways to add glitter to your buttons.

I used my daughter's glitter glue to give some sparkle to these awesome Sassafras button flowers.

Thanks for stopping by! ;)

~CAS, Stitching and Ribbon~

I created a fun card today.

I die cut a butterfly made of screen.

(Flourishes Calla Lilies,Lawn Fawn Bon Voyage dotted line,Sizzix Butterfly #3,screen material,Teresa Collins DP,Basic Grey Curio DP,Memento Ink Tuxedo black)

That's what I love about my older bulky Sizzix dies.

They are wonderful for material!

I am also entering the CAS Challenge Day at SCS.

Stitching is required, which I did with a bit of embroidery thread on the butterfly.

I also have "faux stitching" with the dotted line I stamped.

~OLW Stamp,Stamp,Stamp~

Jennifer is hosting OLW #79

Stamp, stamp, stamp with three or more stamps!

There are three different stamps here (I added the squiggle to highlight "favorite").

Here is my second card.

(The Craft's Meow Fruity for You,Memento inks rosebud and bamboo leaves,Want2Scrap bling)

I wanted to add more color this time and play with my new stamp set from The Craft's Meow: Fruity for You!

I had my eye on it for awhile now, and was recently blessed to pick a set.

It was easy peasy to line up the pears and stamp one time.

There are 5 different stamps~the leaf was stamped twice.

Thank you for hosting this challenge, Jennifer!

Have an awesome weekend. ;)

~LIM Thinking of You with a Diecut~

Less is More Week 55 Theme : Punches or Die Cuts

(Inspired Stamps Strength sentiment,Hero Arts/Basic Grey Exclusive Collection Borders,Papertrey Ink eyelet lace border die,Memento ink tuxedo black,Versamark ink,Stampendous Pearlustre embossing powder,Georgia Pacific black cardstock,Bazzill cardstock,Scor-Tape 1/4")

I enjoyed playing with this new embossing powder.

Besides partially sprinkling the borders I stamped, I also got some within the diecut.

I lay 1/4"  Scor-Tape down, and lay the border die cut on it.

The embossing powder was sprinkled in the openings, and heated.

Hope you are having a great weekend. ;)

~Tiny Flowers-Many Prayers~

I was SO BLESSED to receive Flourishes' new releases this month.

I wanted to make sure and jump RIGHT in with these gorgeous stamps.

Here is a CAS creation I made.

The beautiful sentiment is from Calla Lilies.

I looped some thin ribbon as an added "something" to the purse. It's secured with Scor-tape.

The ruffle is also secured with Scor-Tape.

~PlayDate Cafe Colors and a Testimony~

I love this verse.

The Lord knows how weak I am.

He knows I need Him everyday.

Every decision I make, He's there.

He's there because I ask Him to be.

I need Him.  Without Him, I'm just lil' ole weak Marlena

Scared of her shadow

Scared of making mistakes

Scared of rejection

I step out anyway.

I step out because of Him.

Jesus is all I have to truly offer you.

He is worth it.

He is everything.

I tried to represent the black and white thrown in with pink/orange (I sponged Tim Holtz marmalade ink in stripes across the pink DP).

The paper flower just seemed right . ;)

Have a great evening, wherever you may be.

~Another MIM #53 Thank You~

 I love a bargain.

I also love when I can get 2 for 1.

Two Thank You cards, 1 coaster.

Here was the first.

I fit the tree die from Papertrey's In the Meadow on one coaster with the apple die.

They were also roomies in the same embossing folder.

(Papertrey Ink In the Meadow dies and stamp set,Cuttlebug embossing folder,MS twine,Memento ink rich cocoa,Glimmer Mist,American Crafts AC cardstock, corner rounder, Scor-Pal for scoring,1/2" Scor-Tape)

This is my second submission for

~Spinner Card~

I wanted to do another interactive card for Papertrey's 5th Anniversary Day 10.

(Papertrey Ink downloaded image, Papertrey Ink In the Meadow sentiment,Memento ink bahama blue,Spellbinders scalloped ovals,Cuttlebug embossing folder,October Afternoon Sidewalks DP,brass plated fastener)

This is a very easy card to put together.

The fastener was attached to the white card stock which was then adhered to the DP.

I used the cord as a hint to turn the downloaded sentiment.

I chose mostly white based on FYI's challenge #23.

My Valentine just ordered pizza so I gotta scoot!

Happy Valentine's Day. ;)

~Inspired By and PTI~

We are challenged to create an interactive card using at least one PTI product.

Here is my slider card before activation.

~Make It Monday PTI Coasters~

I invested in PTI coasters awhile back-I highly recommend the purchase!

I literally ran to my table while Jennifer Ellefson's tutorial was playing, and spritzed, cut and textured within a couple of minutes!

Here is my card:

(Papertrey Ink Fruit Fusion apple die,Communique Curves Sentiments,DCWV Natural stack,Bazzill cardstock,Memento ink tuxedo black,Cuttlebug embossing folder,Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist Pink Bubblegum, quilling paper)

I love perfect strips of cardstock that's been trimmed off of a card.

I folded the DP and cardstock over the base and stapled.

A very easy thank you card!

~Treasures Hidden in My House~

I stumbled upon a treasure in my house.

It's called "The Vintage Buttons I Gave Away Before I Was a CardMaker".

I knew I had more buttons from Great Aunt Grace.

(I Heart Papers Mint Motif Beyond Borders,Authentique Blissful DP,Vintage button tag,Memento ink bahama blue,Bazzill cardstock,Spellbinders Labels Eleven)

Praise God I have sweet girlies. After this treasure was revealed and my jaw dropped on the floor..LOL

OF COURSE my girls let me dig through the treasure and pull out ones that have an awesome graphic like this vintage beauty.

Yah, the buttons are cool too, but the graphic is AUTHENTIC.

I mean, it even has the sentiment ON THE BUTTON TAG.

All I had to do was die cut within the yucky parts.

I thought it would be cool to match the image with the graphic border from Mint Motif.

My colors were chosen for The Play Date Cafe PDCC118.

Thanks for stopping by. ;)
