~Tiny Flowers-Many Prayers~

I was SO BLESSED to receive Flourishes' new releases this month.

I wanted to make sure and jump RIGHT in with these gorgeous stamps.

Here is a CAS creation I made.

The beautiful sentiment is from Calla Lilies.

I looped some thin ribbon as an added "something" to the purse. It's secured with Scor-tape.

The ruffle is also secured with Scor-Tape.

~Red Letter Bread Clips~

This caught my eye at Pinterest.

I went through my stash of bread clips and this is what I made.

(Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 6,October Afternoon DP,hole punch,Brilliance red ink,Joann's clear embossing powder,Piggy Tales DP,Sizzix flower,Kid's Jewelry friendship thread,Fiskar's rotary cutter scalloped blade,Creative Memories corner rounder,)

I hope the recipient will remove the clip and put it where she needs reminding.

Hope is needed by everyone, I think.

Simon Says Stamp and Show a Red Letter Day
made me think of my Red Letter Bible and the words of Jesus.

He brings me Hope. ;)

I drew my colors from Inspired By #6

CAS-ual Fridays #35
encouraged me to use my scalloped blade in my rotary cutter for the tag.

My hope is that you are encouraged today. ;)

~Hairdresser Rocks!~

My girlie got a new "do" yesterday!

You can see the difference in her walk and talk...she feels good about it. ;)

I made her a card to celebrate her new look.

(Unity Happiness Is sentiment,Unity Live-Laugh-Love Girl,Spellbinders Label Eleven,Spellbinders scalloped circles,Memento ink rich cocoa,Brilliance ink red,Piggy Tales DP,DCWV natural pack DP,Piggy Tales DP,Martha Stewart twine)

Such a fun image from Unity.

Challenges:

Unity Opportunity Color Challenge gave me the colors to work with.

Even though I didn't intend to leave off a section of the Spellbinders Label Eleven...I'm so glad I did.

I like the graphic look.

I paper pieced the patterned dress to make it look intentionally left off,

like she is posing in front of a partial poster.

I also used a die-Spellbinders scalloped circle- to create the card base.

Thanks for stopping by today-I always appreciate the visits. ;)

~A Note Of Thanks~

I wanted to make a "note" for Ren-Yi.

Girlfriend is so busy, but still took the time to mail a stamp I won at her blog. ;)

I used my oldie but goodie Sizzix embossing folder to make this simple card.

My Gelly Roll "X"s helped the treble clef stand out a bit.

~Red Medallion with Orange Thrown In~

Movement is difficult to capture on a card.

I tried my best to accomplish it here.

"Space, the final frontier," was in my head for some reason as I created this.

I always thought modern was so...well, modern.

It's not all that modern or new.

Look at pictures of space..spheres, discs, immense vacuums and distances.

God's creation.

Very, very cool.

Express Yourself

ColourQ's 2nd Birthday Challenge is to CASE a Queen.

I chose Carrie Gaskin, ColourQ #77 winner to CASE today.

She used paper piercing to follow the butterflies, which inspired me to paper pierce the steam in this card.

I paper pieced the cup and outlined it with a Souffle pen.

I used ColourQ's colors here.

There IS olive in there...in the stripe under the ribbon loops I stitched.

The inspiration for the ribbon treatment is from

A Throwdown Case-A-Diva Card

Verve Stamps' September Diva Dare challenges you to Case-a-Diva
(fancy talk for copy).

I chose Sankari Wegman to case.

Every time I go on a Verve hop and land on her blog...I literally gasp.

My eyeballs POP when I see what she does with color

AND bling.

WOWZERS.

It's like she's working with a special rainbow or shade of colors.

She's like the Color Whisperer. ;)

My card is not as magnificent as her work,

but my heart was in the right place.. ;)

helped me get started.

See my baby attempts at quilling???

Note it's quilling with a little "q". ;)

 Gotta start somewhere,right?

Together Fishies and Metal

Less Is More Week 31 Metallic Colour has some beautiful entries, you have to check it out.

Everything in this card was based on the simple strip of metal sentiment.

I had it left over from my sister's wedding scrapbook I made about a year or so ago.

It needed a home.

The plane is colored in with a Fantastix and Brilliance Platinum Planet ink.

The windows are filled in with Glossy Accents.

I thought of "Finding Nemo" and these stamps were handy,

so here we are. ;)

2 wittle fishies in the big blue ocean.

I have an embarrassing confession....

this movie made me cry.

Only at the end.

It was years ago...and it really upset me that Nemo was lost...my girls were little at the time.
You understand, don't you?

Unfortunately, we were in a theater.

They won't let me forget that....so I'm just going to put it out there. ;)

Reunions are so emotional...animated or not, don't you think?

Square Sketch Challenge

Today I have a simple Christmas card to share.

This was my very first quality Christmas stamp.

I remember it being the most beautiful Christmas tree image I had ever seen.

How could I resist all those swirly lines?????

I was inspired by the

Square Sketch Challenge in the Moxie World

There's still time to participate!

CAS-ual Embossing

CAS-ual Fridays

I did some "negative space" embossing...by die cutting a Sizzix snowflake and using it as a mask.

The Versamark inkpad was applied and after I removed the masks, I embossed with red glitter embossing powder.

That's it! ;)

Thank you for peeking in. ;)

Less Is More Nation's Colors and a Verse

I finally got my Less is More's Week 27 done!

My country is the USA...so red, white and blue were in order.

I used the natural shapes of the Memento teardrop ink to make a simple flower.

I added the simple ODBD Verse from You are the Potter stamp set.

Such a simple verse adds so much encouragement, don't you think?

My faux "stitching" and button are for ODBDSLC 71 Notions-Seamstress challenge.

I also knotted up a little something in the middle of the flower for interest. ;)

Thanks for peeking in. ;)

A CAS-ual Shaped Handbell

This is my second card for the CAS-ual Friday 10 challenge...

a shaped card!

I am in our church's handbell choir, and I thought this would be a nice card for our ringers at Christmas.

I took my Brilliance Dew Drop Copper and swiped it over the bell, leaving a section clear for "shine".  I used clear embossing powder over the handle.

The hardest part was drawing the template.  Now I just need at least 12 more by Christmas!

Thanks for stopping by. ;)

Joy at Christmas, and Always

I am on the Christmas cardmaking train for now.

It's a great idea, really.  Why not now, before all the hustle and bustle. ;)

ODBD Stamping In Time: On Assignment Challenge(SNTODBD38) challenges us to make Christmas cards using our ODBD stamps.

I have always loved ODBD As You Graduate.  I was excited to find a way to use it for Christmas.

I think silver embossing is the answer.

I layered it over embossing, and highlighted the embossing with a bit of Brilliance silver ink.

The sentiment is taken from Nehemiah 8:10 in ODBD Scripture Collection 6.

Joy is a simple Christmas message.

It should be a daily message to share, don't you think?

I have added a decent deposit of cards to my Christmas stash while contributing to this challenge.  You should give it a try! ;)
Thanks for stopping in. ;)

Stamps: ODBD As You Graduate, ODBD Scripture Collection 6
Ink:Versamark, Brilliance Starlite Silver, silver embossing powder
