I used an awesome sketch from CardPatterns 156

Check out this incredible photo from FYI Challenge #25.

I was definitely inspired by the colors and the water.

I LOVE the vibrant contrast.

Have a blessed week!

~Spinner Card~

I wanted to do another interactive card for Papertrey's 5th Anniversary Day 10.

(Papertrey Ink downloaded image, Papertrey Ink In the Meadow sentiment,Memento ink bahama blue,Spellbinders scalloped ovals,Cuttlebug embossing folder,October Afternoon Sidewalks DP,brass plated fastener)

This is a very easy card to put together.

The fastener was attached to the white card stock which was then adhered to the DP.

I used the cord as a hint to turn the downloaded sentiment.

I chose mostly white based on FYI's challenge #23.

My Valentine just ordered pizza so I gotta scoot!

Happy Valentine's Day. ;)

~Man Card~

Our Craft Lounge 101 Zig Zag

and One Layer Wednesday 75

led me to this card:

(supplies:Papertrey Ink In the Meadow deer,I Heart Papers Mint Motif Beyond Borders,Papertrey Ink Game On sentiment,Staz On pumpkin,Ranger Distress ink pine needle and marmalade,Georgia Pacific 110 lb cardbase)

Now, originally my zigs were zagged so straight and true, but I smudged my fingers on the pristine white.

I figured...perfection isn't me.

I embraced the cool, stomped/ripped,nothing fits look that seems to be in now.

I didn't intend for reindeer's behind to look so textured, but I really did like it after the fact.

Here is the straight and true for those that are curious:

See? It's a bit warped on the bottom, because I viciously took a baby wipe to my Oompa-Loompa finger smudges created at the last second....arrrgh.

My orange and green combo is inspired by For Your Inspiration Challenge #22

What a gorgeous photo!  I have something prettier in the works, but I wanted to make sure and credit this challenge, because it DID choose my colors for this masculine card.

Thank you for stopping by today, it makes my day! ;)

~Thank You Teacher~

There are a few more challenges I was inspired to play with today.

(Papertrey Ink Communique Curves Sentiments,Papertrey Ink eyelet lace border die,Papertrey Ink Fruit fusion apple die and stamp,DCWV natural stack,American Crafts AC cardstock, Piggy Tales DP,Ranger Tim Holtz Distress ink marmalade,Memento ink black)

My colors brown and white were drawn from

FYI Challenge #21

Die Cutting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World
encouraged me to use my apple die INNOVATIVELY...by using the negative but only filling part of the apple.

I wanted it to look like a heart.

The best teachers incorporate their heart, don't you think?

Nicole Heady's Make It Monday #48

Creating Backgrounds with Border Dies demonstrated by Dawn McVey,

encouraged me to use my eyelet lace border die-which I love.

I ran the borders through my Xyron and zigzagged the background.

Thank you for stopping by today. ;)

~Running With the Crown~

When someone calls me "Queen", facetious or not,

I CLAIM IT AND RUN!

My husband calls me Queen all the time, LOL.

Hmmmmm

Sometimes he's being a stink;

sometimes he's being sweet.

I'm saving this card for one of the stinker times.

Laurel has a new challenge I stumbled on

I was inspired by the letters being separated on each vase. It made me think of placing the letters in each frame of the border.

The royalty aspect?

Why MOXIE FAB, of course, daaaaahling. ;)

I've had that "N" laying around...

waiting to be used, along with the crown.

Finally, the colors were inspired by For Your Inspiration Challenge 19.

Purples and gold have been at the back of my mind since eying this gorgeous photo.

I think my husband would appreciate this card in context.

Sassy or kind,I AM his queen, after all.

*wink*

Thank you for stopping in today. ;)

~FYI, a Pattern and Bandaid Bling~

 I'm enjoying my Bandaid Bling.

It's too pretty to put on blood, that's for sure! ;)

Would you have known that was a bandaid if I didn't tell you?

I bought TWO boxes of Bandaid Bling, since pondering  about
Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger Beads & Baubles.

Not everyone can afford jewels. ;)

Plus, it's easier to mail flat.

I'm hooked on black, yellow, gray since studying this striking photo for FYI Challenge 17.

CardPatterns Sketch 140

gave me a structure to follow,

(especially when I saw a home for bandaid bling)!

What will I put on a card next????

Don't worry, I WILL stop at something BREATHING

-that would be gross

and cruel.

I don't do cruel.

~Make It Monday Applique and an Ornament~

I kept this card simple for
Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #40: Reverse Applique.

I DID bring out my sewing machine for it (but you don't have to).

Thank you, Heather, for challenging me with your tutorial!

It comes with a gift inside-utilizing the die cut I punched out. ;)

This ornament was created using a past technique,
Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #34.

Cereal box cardboard was used for layers.
You wouldn't believe how substantial this ornament feels.

Very cool-inexpensive gift!

My colors were inspired by the beautiful photo at

I hope to make more of these soon.

Thanks for stopping by. ;)

~You're a Vision~

Bold colors are perfect for CAS.

This week's

recipe is POLKA DOTS.

I used my most favorite ink...Staz On Fuschia pink.

It is the boldest color I have-and I look for excuses to use it. ;)

Perfect ink to backdrop this awesome paper flower from American Crafts.

I bi-colored petals with ink, overlapped them, and clear embossed the green end.

Proud Mama and a Seahorse

I'm a proud mama.

I'm a proud mama who wants to show you a card I made, using my Shelby's drawing.

I requested a "child riding a seahorse" and she drew me a picture, which I scanned, printed, colored, cut out with Spellbinders' scalloped circles, and inserted in this card.

I sponged around the character with ink.

How fun is that?????

I already had the holes punched in this DP...glad I could use it-

don't you love it when that happens???

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark, heat embossed with white powder, and sponged over with ink.

I was inspired to use her drawing, when I saw

It makes me miss Hawaii!!!

I know someone on the DT who probably feels the same way. ;)

*wink*

I have other REALLY CUTE PICTURES she has drawn for me...but will wait for the right inspiration and scene.

I think Shelby (who is soon to be 13) has great potential, don't you?

Thank you for stopping by today. ;)

FYI LOVE and Q

For Your Inspiration has the most beautiful photos to work with.

I was inspired to make this:

FYI #13

Paris makes me think of love.

Love makes me think of complicated layers.

I hope the card is self-explanatory. ;)

I think of our bodies as cages holding our souls...

 Your "cages" are tethered together...

.... two individuals glued together to create one.

The longer you're a couple,

the more layers you may peel back and reveal.

At some point, you lose track of where one life begins and the other ends.

You can't go back to two separate lives.

Love cannot be erased.

It can only be torn away.

Your life will always have that love in your history.

Did you get all that? ;)

I really enjoyed creating the layers for this...rolling it back, flipping it over and stamping, and adding the chain with beading.

Thanks for peeking in. ;)

Reflections of God

FYI Challenge #11 inspired me to make a reflection card.

I stamped my image on craft foil (it was secondhand, so I don't know where you buy it...but it looks and feels like kitchen foil).

I wanted the gorgeous landscape to be seen as a reflection of God.

The sentiment is perfect, don't you think?

Fall and Flowing

I made this card for my mom.

She LOVES fall!

Check out this gorgeous photo that inspired me from FYI Challenge #10.

Here is the sketch I used from Pals Paper Arts #103.

I hope you like my funky card.  I know the shape isn't conventional...but it felt right for this project.

God Bless You today. ;)
