My Lobster

My hubby's birthday is coming up, so I made him a card unlike any I've made before.

 Alexandra Renke Lobster Stencil, The Ink Road Stamps The One With All the Stamps, Pink Paislee Outfitters Paper Pad, Vicki Boutin Iridescent Glitter Texture Paste, Tim Holtz Distress inks

The lobster was sponged in with distress inks and then I added a glaze of texture paste with an old bone folder tool.

 Zoom in to see the iridescent glitter ~

The sentiment seemed to fit; I'll probably have to explain it to him, because he barely watched the sitcom.

This card was more about me creating this lobster;

I'm sure he will be cool with it.

He sees my cards and will recognize I went a little above (mixed media-wise) to make it.

Fruity

I love messing with shapes, angles and abstract work in general.

This was just for fun~

The Craft's Meow sentiment (business closed), Spellbinders Classic Circles cut in half, My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circle (cut twice-second time overlapped for the lime cut)/Peek-a-Boo Wonky Windows

 Before I restocked my lime cardstock, I had a sliver left.

I tried to fit a wonky stitched circle in there by overlapping it to get a fruit shaped whatever.

I married it with a half circle die cut, figuring it would make for an interesting pair.

Replace Fear

Tim Holtz Perspective, Dylusions Yellow Paint, White Embossing Powder, Avery Elle Double Pierced Rectangles, Versamark Ink

I used washi tape to give a crisp edge when I painted Dylusions Lemon on the corner here.

Before inking the butterfly, I used washi to keep half untouched, and removed before stamping down.

Alll the local Hawaii food guys...that's what I digested earlier this month.

 

EVERY food I miss went in my belly in a two week's span. 

 

There was ONE hobby store run my whole trip, so imagine my delight when I stumbled upon Island Style stamps at the airport!

It was the BEST  way to end a family trip that went by too fast.

I stamped da bugga (I talk diff when at my childhood home) on a My Favorite Things Color Drop and backed it with a square frame.

So my last babygirl is flying the coop guys.

Pray for me.

I'm all kind of feels every day leading up to that big day.

This time it's a delightful cupcake photo, so I created my own version of "cupcakes".

Sweet n' Sassy Vintage Baby, My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Circles/Square Frames, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Doodlebug Sprinkles



Pastels led me to a baby card, and I could always use one in my stash!

I got as close to pastels as possible when shading the "cupcakes".

If you leave the die on while sponging ink, it will create a crisp border~
