Simon Says Stamp Stitched Dress Up Tag, Technique Tuesday Bubbles on the Border, Brutus Monroe Bold Rainbow Paper Pack, My Favorite Things Gift Card Grooves, Papertrey Ink Enjoy the Ride (retired)
I have the honor of being a guest at Just Us Girls this month!
This week the prompt is :
I started with this fun Brutus Monroe Rainbow pack~everything else gravitated toward good vibes! ;)
My bestie's fam, back in the 70's, had a Volkswagon convertible.
She and her dad would pick me up from one side of the island of Oahu (my homeland ;) ) and drive me to the other side to visit.
Yes, my hair was a WRECK from the ride....but I didn't care when I was 8! ;)
Even though she moved there after we shared schools for YEARS, they got us together as much as possible~
I watched Star Wars and Grease with her...brace yourself...when it was ONLY IN THEATERS at the time. ;)
Ahhh those were the days of Retro and innocence for me.
Fun fact: the Brady Bunch House has been renovated!!!
You're welcome. ;)
Back out of the retro rabbit hole...
Here's the removable bookmark/tag attachment...achieved with My Favorite Things gift card grooves.
It fits Simon Says Stamp's stitched Dress Up Tag perfectly. ;)
Create your Retro card and link up at Just Us Girls!
Thank you for the visit~PEACE & LOVE💜

Awesome retro creation! Love your retro story of the VW bug. Perfect image and that swirly rainbow background is so perfect for our challenge. Welcome to JUGS and can't wait to see the rest of your amazing creations!
Love that background on the tag - great design and so happy to have you guesting with us!!!
Groovy card, Marlena! LOL! My friend's father had a VW Beetle, but not a convertible. I loved riding in it! So happy to have you guesting with us this month!
WOW! What an awesome Retro tag you have made here Marlena. Simply fabulous with the fun colourful swirly circles in the background. You have joined us this month with a statement of style. Can't wait to see what else you impress us with this month.
My sister had a VW and I remember many happy times we shared together - none better than driving along one of the Main Roads to pull over and watch the first Jumbo take off from Darwin (Australia) airport. I can still hear the hum!
Love the card and the story in your post too! You sure have set the bar high this month with this awesome card! That DP couldn't have been more perfect! Thrilled to have you with us at Just Us Girls. Have a great day!
I love that bug and your colorful papers behind it!
Your rainbow background looks awesome on this "retro" card!
Loved your trip down memory lane, Marlena. That rainbow paper works beautifully with the vintage car die for a retro feel.
