Transformation Tuesday Ornaments

Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday is a great opportunity to take one of your earlier designs and redo or repurpose them.

Last week's Tranformation Tuesday hosted by
Lexi Daly
inspired me to take a card design and turn it into ornaments.

Here's my original black and white card from last year, which uses the same kit.

I'm linking my project to this week's

Transformation Tuesday

hosted by  Lizzie Jones,

in which she takes a card and changes the season.

You can transform a previous project anyway you like.

I think it's fun to revisit my older projects...I've had my blog since 2011.

If I go "bleh" when I see some of my older stuff, this is a great opportunity to redo.

If I like a project I've designed, I just revamp it with trendy colors or better skills.

ahem. ;)

Since I plan on gifting these (and more which I will share if I get around to it), I'm also sharing this at

Simon Says (Monday): Gift It

These should last a few years...they are chipboard ornaments.

Here is the link to a tutorial which I've drawn from many times.

The winter scenes are appropriate for this challenge too:

Papertrey Ink November 2018 Blog Hop Challenge

stamps: Papertrey Ink What the Doodle Snowflakes  dies: Papertrey Ink What the Doodle Snowflakes/Brushed Off Rectangle/Wonderful Words Joy

Check out Papertrey Ink's Blog Hop Challenge this month:

https://blog.papertreyink.com/2018/11/november-2018-blog-hop/

I went red, white and blue like the photo~keeping it as simple as possible.

I did a partial red with the Brushed Off Rectangle...and did a second layer in white.

It's a subtle frame, but effective in bringing the focus to the center sentiment.

Plus, it gives me an anchor to arrange the snowflakes on~

Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Snow Oranges

When I created this card...I had in mind the days of old where an orange was an extravagant Christmas gift.
I love the fresh look of the citrus images in Altenew's Main Squeeze set...so I built everything up from them.

stamps: Altenew Main Squeeze  dies: Altenew Main Squeeze, Simon Says Stamp Winter Snow Wafer, Technique Tuesday Sparkle & Shine Snowflakes  other: Nuvo Drops

I sponged the slices with Tim Holtz  Frayed Burlap for a dried look~you wouldn't hang a fresh slice on a tree, right?

Orange is making a dent in Christmas decor these days...and I'm totally on board with that!

I could stamp citrus for dayzzzz.  :)

I'm submitting this to Simon Says (Monday): Let it Snow

Thanks for stopping by this week~

Merry & Bright

Whenever I stamp Altenew's Main Squeeze,

I crave grapefruits or oranges.

I'm not even kidding. ;)

It literally helps me eat healthier.

 stamps: Altenew Main Squeeze/Halftone Circles/Bells & Bows  dies: Altenew Main Squeeze/Bells & Bows/Merry Christmas

Traditional Christmas colors in this inspiration helped me along...

I love when citrus images debut in holiday decor!

I also used the sketch from

https://poeticartistry.blogspot.com/2018/11/mojo-monday-503.html

(pretend the larger citrus images are one and bring the horizontal strip to the front).

Thanks for stopping by today~

Every Day is Magical

stamps: Unity Stamps Best Year Yet (kom 11/15)   die: My Favorite Things Sentiment Strips

This week my lovely teammates at Inkspirational have created with the following word prompt in mind:

http://inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.com/2018/11/challenge-174-magic.html

I stamped and colored this Unity stamp flake (it was best to leave the panel in my Misti)....then stamped with Versamark and embossed.

We are heading into the magical season of the year...won't you join us and link up at Inkspirational?
