CAS Turtle Bookmark/Card

 Hero Arts Color Layering Sea Turtle, Papertrey Ink Background Basics Super Stripes, My Favorite Things Tall Tag Duo, Pom pom maker

Following designer Gwendolyn's technique, I only chose one layer to create my turtles.

I wasn't sure what colors I wanted at first, so I die cut a "turtle station" here.

 

 One spot was for the solid shell, one for the shaded shell, and so on.

This way, I could do a ton of various colors and shells without having to reset the stamps.

So, this card was inspired by 

1. My artistic daughter who arts her heart and 

2. A recent visit to an art museum...it inspired me to go mixed media~

I copic colored around the image blue~

 I went along with my daughter's Sunflower/parks theme and got some thank you notes done up.

 Here's a tip...you get twice the flowers for 1/2 the time when you cut them in half!

I Love You & I Like You Sunflowers

My daughter loves sunflowers and Parks & Rec.

I combined the two to celebrate her high school graduation.

 Essentials by Ellen Treat Yo Self Dies (retired)

 Here I used wood slices as a base for circles stamped with Snarks and Recreation sentiments.

They served as tablecloth weights~

Discovering Glow in the Dark

This card took me forever since I couldn't decide whether to have the sentiment and image glow or just the sentiment or just the image.

My husband, through the process... "Hey, where's that crazy lady that was testing out her glow in the dark card?!"

MR. Mr. walked out into my craft area at 4am because he was investigating a strange light he saw (my flash the first time).

You don't even realize how much he startled me, just watching me take pics in the dark.

The nerve! ;)

This card, with a glowing jellyfish, was the the best of the bunch.

I'm definitely going to play around with this powder more!
