Seems Impossible

Goodness we are at the homestretch here with graduation, recitals and what not....

I don't create with flowers as much as I should.

The brilliant blue backdrop and mixture of bold flowers here gave me inspiration~

I stenciled a blue backdrop to mimic the color/ texture of the wall and used the colors in the picture.

Summer CASology Guest Design Post

I have the honor of being a guest at the CASology challenge this week!



This brilliant team is precise with their weekly CAS cards, so I prayed for a clever idea to run with :).

design defined: Open white space and monochromatic stamping for the simplest presentation

Here's the cue:

I used multiple stamp sets to achieve this vision...

I also paper pieced the clothespins, which was a little meticulous, but I pushed through.

Gold Dipped Inkspirational DT

There's a new challenge up at Inkspirational!

This time it's my choice and I came up with Gold Dipped~

Here's my take:

 Unity Stamp Company Live for the Moments sentiment, Avery Elle Double Pierced Rectangles, My Favorite Things Pierced Squares, gold washi

 I LOVE using gold washi or any washi for that matter, and presenting a dipped look.

If you use a die to cut after the washi is applied~it comes out really crisp!

 I'm sure you can come up with all kinds of gold dipped looks using washi, embossing powder, gold pen...

Never Be Afraid

Papertrey Ink Globe, Our Daily Bread Designs (now Divinity Designs) Corrie Ten Boom sentiment, journaling card

A journaling card is one of my fave cardstarters.

I built up on it with a globe image and favorite sentiment of mine for the following challenge:

The globe represents "feet on the ground" and the sentiment depicts "eyes on the stars"

Altenew Halftone Stencil/Lotus/Painted Encouragement, Nuvo Drops

I love this color combo and had to create with it~

I kept the single flower for a soft approach and created my "wall" with the lovely Halftone stencil.

 

By flipping it over after one sponged color, I shimmied the mini dots to fit withing the bigger ones for a complex design.
