Instead of coloring, I color blended with Tim Holtz Distress inks, while the rectangle die was still in place.

What a great card! Love how you ink blended the background and kept the image as an outline - works perfectly.
I tend to forget an image can have color added to it in other ways than by traditional coloring. Nice touch leaving the die while inking for a white frame effect.
What a wonderful ombre effect you've achieved. Perfect image.
