Black and Green

Whew, made it to Thurs., how about you????

Any card making day is a good one in my book....

For this card,

I pulled the green/lace black combo from a dress at

SUCH ELEGANCE AND POISE~

definitely a style to emulate.

I not only made a card...but gifts to give some teachers.

Any gift-making and DELIVERY day is a huge step of accomplishment for me!

The free verse that these sweet designers offer is :

I have no problem designing this and that....but actually getting the nitty gritty stuff done to hand out and bless someone is like climbing Mt. Everest for me!!!

I prayed about what to bless my girlies' dance teachers with and I was moved to buy a few goodies here and there.

The Lord motivated me to make it all pretty like (my daughter commented that the potted flower looked SO MUCH BETTER than if I had just thrown them in a ziplock bag and handed it to them), HA!!!

I stumbled a bit with the pots...but by the fifth one...I had the system DOWN PAT.

;)

Isn't that how it goes???

sigh.

Those little gifties got themselves out the door and were used to hopefully bless the recipients who faithfully motivate my girlies.

Many times, what makes me stumble....is feeling like my gift is "not enough" ~I can be a REAL PERFECTIONIST.

It can be PARALYZING to say the least.

ugh.

Hate that about myself.

However, with God's grace...I do what I can and then humbly hand my gift over...praying for the recipient to feel blessed and loved.

He enables me to push past my "ugh, it's not perfect" to "ok, this will do". ;)

Enough of my blabbering....God bless you all!!!

Your gift boxes are well thought out and I would love to get one ( if I was a dance teacher). The card is OUTSTANDING. Thank you for dropping in to visit us at Word Art Wednesday today with this beautiful art. Blessings, Carole

That damask background is the perfect interpretation for the challenge, and no doubt your sweet teacher appreciation gifts were loved and treasured. Thanks so much for playing with us at the Runway Inspired Challenge!! We're so glad you did!

Your card is amazing...Love the color combo and the shapes as well as the lay-out. We are blessed that you joined our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. I want to encourage you with God's Word in Ephesians 6:7 which says, "Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people."

Hugs and blessings,
JO ANN

Ahhh...time for an uninterrupted (though late!!) stroll through the gallery of Marlena's gorgeous creations that await...and how fitting that I begin here! Your card is ever so pretty, but it's the gifts for your girls' teachers that make my heart sing! Such beautiful gifts will put wings on their feet, as they dance in joy at your thoughtfulness! The pots are wonderful containers for the 'this and that' treats, and the home-made tags and flowers...the most precious special touch! Marlena: even though being a perfectionist may drive you batty, it's part of the magical recipe that is YOU! Embrace your whole being, because from my perspective, and the perspectives of all those who love you, you are a gift just as you are. In fact, you are perfect!! So there!! Hugs~c
