Home Organizer Thingy

My wonderful sister passed on some scrapbook items.

One treasure was a chipboard album with papers to work with.

I took the sections apart and made an organizer thingy.

(stamp:Sweet 'n Sassy Our Refuge)

I stamped the Bible Verse on a chipboard piece and sprayed it with acrylic sealer, because I don't think the ink will set on its own.

The rest is modge podged.

Oooh, and I used nail polish to make the 'lil clothespins pretty.

Hope you're having a wonderful Mother's Day so far!

My girlies and I just got back from seeing the movie.

I think it's sweet~it made me cry a little, even.

I'm a sucker for a chick flick. :)

 Thanks for visiting me~

Hugs

Sooo, I haven't found that stencil yet...I'm still looking.

I flipped a die cut and sponged it.

(dies: Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Elle-ments   other:American Crafts Amy Tangerine bits Die Cut Cardstock Shapes)

The flower is from the same die cut pack, but I added a rhinestone.

~Happy Mother's Day to all the sweet mothers out there~

~But a special shout out to my MOM, who has encouraged me every step of the way, in this thing called life.

I love you, and I wouldn't be who I am without you.

If I could strive for even one tenth of what you've accomplished, I would consider myself a success as a mother and a wife.

You make me proud to be your daughter.

Stencil and Prima Flowers

Ok, here's another card that doesn't look like I made it...

but I did.

 Honest.

(stamp:Newton's Nook Fanciful Florals  other:Heidi Swapp Star Stencil,Prima Flowers,Want2Scrap rhinestones, Tim Holtz Distress Inks)

I was motivated to stencil~

& to create something charming.

I added prima flowers my sister passed on to me~isn't she the BEST?!!

I figured they'd add the charm factor. ;)

Initially I was looking for my splatter stencil, but ever since I organized my craft supplies, I've misplaced it. :)

Oy, the irony.

If I find it, I'll try the stencil technique again.

I tried to soften the star image by sponging it once with blue distress ink,
then sliding it over and sponging with purple.

I added water drops to soften the area up.

Now to look for the stencil I wanted to use....I KNOW I saw it somewhere...

Layering Up for a Change

So I layered up today...

(stamps:Verve:Love Story framed sentiment/Poppy Birthday flowers  dies:Verve Build a Poppy/Lovely Marquee/Pennant Trim  other:dp fussy cut leaves)

I know, right?!

Doesn't even look like something I'd make. :)

 It's me, I promise.

I don't know what happened.

One minute I was

working with these colors...

and the next,

I finished with this sketch~

http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2016/05/mojo-monday-446-contest.html

It's like someone took over me. :)

It's a little different for me, but I like it.

I chose this sentiment for a wedding...graduation...goodbye...I think any of those would be ok.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program....

ha! ;)

Lime Green TIME OUT Challenge

It is a pleasure to be a guest designer at

Time Out Challenge #56:CASE Kay Miller today!

We are CASE-ing Kay's beautiful card (second card down)...
here's my rendition.

(stamp:Waltzingmouse Teeny Trees,WPlus9 Ink Splats  dies:Papertrey Ink Songbirds,My Favorite Things Wonky Windows)

The bird turned out to be a happy mistake...I didn't realize I had green pieces left in my die when I cut the black cardstock.

I went back and added the missing pieces to finish the bird.

With Kay's inspiration card in my head~

I built up from my black and lime bird.

I went with a focal window, some splatters, and greenery to mimic the flourish.

I look forward to seeing your interpretation of this week's challenge!

Thanks for stopping in~
