Anniversary Tag

I threw some goodies in a bag and created a tag to doll things up~

I sized a snippet from BasicGrey down to fit this tag~framing it with a navy cardstock.

The bubbles are from a border die~it's my new favorite confetti!

 The tag fits the "t" factor of the following challenge:

Belated Outdoor Birthday

This is one of those rare times I anticipate a belated card.

July is the month for late cards.

I have no idea what day it is...what time it is...


basically, I'm a hot mess and willy-nilly.

The following inspiration made me hungry~

It had me thinking about my first smore.

I was introduced at camp and never looked back.

As for the card...I went for a masculine creation.

I stenciled the plaid and die cut a hexagon~layering an outdoor scene.

I dotted some acrylic paint~imagining marshmallows.

The horizon half circle matches the color of teal in the photo.

I really enjoyed this week's Make It Monday tutorial!

Laurie's technique is very effective for depth.

I took her verbal tip on using white on black for the background shadow. 

The hardest decision was what colors to use~there are so many layering opportunities for this set.

The following challenge colors/patterns gave me a start~

I had to remind myself...as always..

be careful when using an animal image, Marlena.

In those cases, red splatters don't look right,

they just don't look right.

You don't know how many cards I've ruined by forgetting that at the last minute.

I want to add something and start going in with red....andddd 

I've slaughtered it.

ugh.

I added the enamel dots instead. ;)

 I just saw Jurassic World last night...

lots of red splatters..just saying.
