I Wanted to Work for QVC

Once upon a time...I wanted to be a QVC host.

hee!!!

I confess this here, because everything I learned about precious and semi-precious stones I learned from QVC back when I was in college.

I would leave it running on the TV while I was writing papers and all that college grunge work required for an English degree.

You know who the late night, 2am host was back in the day???

Mike Rowe, dude from Dirty Jobs.

Yup. HIM.

He had a dry sense of humor and was very transparent about his "delight" in jewelry and what not.

 No matter...

he was real, he was hilarious and the old ladies that called in

LOVED HIM.

Long story short... HA!

I know what peridot is.  :)

I'm not a doily gal...but it was super easy to spray over one to get this effect.

super.easy.

I think I'm hooked.

Hey, thanks for stopping by and listening to me ramble about old dreams. :)

I enjoyed your ramble! Spraying over a doily is a great idea. I haven't thought of that. I'll do it! The Dylusions Ink Spray looks terrific! Your Copic coloring is so nicely done, too.

Shut the front door!!!! Mike Rowe, from Baltimore was a QVC jewelry host?!!! I'm amazed, not sure why other than I love the guy. lol Now why couldn't I have met him around the suburbs of Baltimore?! LOL I can imagine the ladies loving him, he is so funny and I can just imagine you wanting to be a QVC host, who wouldn't?!! It always looks like the perfect job to have. lol Well I didn't get to watch Mike Rowe on QVC but I do know what a Peridot is. And I think the color you used to spray your doily stencil with is spot on! I love doilies, but not necessarily those thin paper ones, although I am loving how you used it here! Cute, cute card!!! Love your sweet little girl too. Hugs, Brenda
