Crafty time was squeezed in between life...

It's like a party of guests trying to hang out in harmony.

The Time Out challenge photo this week inspired me to merge various patterns together, which were cut from the same sheet.

Picked up some paper packs & dies and went for it~

 Aaaah, gadgety fun!

The (bookmark?) is removable...and so is the paperclip ribbon.

A gift in a card is my new thing, me thinks. 

If I need a gift card holder in a pinch, this will do.

Ugh, now I have to do grown up stuff, wish me luck.

I Wanted to Work for QVC

Once upon a time...I wanted to be a QVC host.

hee!!!

I confess this here, because everything I learned about precious and semi-precious stones I learned from QVC back when I was in college.

I would leave it running on the TV while I was writing papers and all that college grunge work required for an English degree.

 You know who the late night, 2am host was back in the day???

Mike Rowe, dude from Dirty Jobs.

Yup. HIM.

He had a dry sense of humor and was very transparent about his "delight" in jewelry and what not.

 No matter...
 

he was real, he was hilarious and the old ladies that called in 

LOVED HIM.

Long story short... HA!

I know what peridot is.  :)

 I. LOVE. STRIPES.

I went with that and ran in the girlie direction of colors.

I was delighted to see that the circle shape of a die set fit perfectly around the Studio Calico Amelia "hello".

The gift card groove die creates the perfect pocket for whatever, but I didn't want that adorable pink strip to go to waste, so I added it to the hello clip.

As for the stamped sentiment, I thought it would suit

 as in, the journey of LIFE.

We are all walking it and discovering it, aren't we?

Stand Where It's Shining

Guys, it's been a BUSY weekend...my girlies went to the nationals of a dance competition!

They've never had the opportunity to go that far, technically and physically (I drove four hours out)...but it was soooo worth it.

 There was SO MUCH talent and touching creations;

I loved the community and camaraderie that went on between the studios.

There will always be ugliness in the world (sin is a reality)

...but there is beauty to behold too.

I try to encourage graduates to take it one step at a time....vs having their whole life figured out.

I mean, even the best laid plans could change in a heartbeat.
