Do you have a chalk set that's sitting unloved in the corner?
I forgot I even had one until I saw this week's Papertrey Ink Challenge~oopsies!
Check it out...
hostess: Melissa
I originally bought my chalks to highlight an embossed image for my niece's first birthday about 5 years ago.
You don't need much~I just chalked a bit where I wanted to place leaves.
I stamped after embossing, like Melissa; she's right~the texture is awesome.
I love the fabric feel of the embossed paper too!
Ok, I better get out and enjoy the warm weather. You all have a blessed day now...

Hi Marlena, sorry I have not been by in a while. Love your chalk card and the yellow and green are beautiful! The leaves look gorgeous over the impression plate and your showed up so well. Take care! My chalks are so old too.
Marlena, I think we are all digging out our old chalks! Beautiful bright dimension here! Love the lime and lemon together!
Love the bright yellow and green leaves along with the torn edge look, makes for a lovely composition of color and texture.
Your card creation is so soft and those lovely textured leaves are beautiful, Marlena!
This is a really interesting mix of color and texture, Marlena.
Lovely! Haven't pulled my chalks out yet but your card has inspired me to get chalking.
This is quite lovely! Your choice of distressing your white panel by tearing the edges is very effective. That's an"old school" technique we rarely see used anymore. This texturing/chalking technique has proven very interesting - now off to find my chalks buried deep in my craft room somewhere!
Marlena, this is such a pretty card, isn't this a fun technique? I was reading your comment on Helen's blog and you mentioned not knowing how to post two cards to a challenge from the same blog post. Well, I can help you via Darnell, who wrote out wonderful instructions and sent them to me...I would be happy to send them on to you as a way of "paying it forward"! colleen57and5@hotmail.com
Marlena, thisi turned out fabulous. I love the colours that you used.
Wow, Marlena, I love those colors and yes, I have forgotten chalks! May have to find them and start to play with them again! Oh so much product that goes unused that we all love, not enough time in my day for sure! Have a happy Thursday and thanks for visiting my blog and leaving comments!
Love the way the leaves turned out!
Beautiful! the impression plate you selected is perfect for this technique!
