Red, Pink, Chocolate

Chocolate, red and pink~classic Valentine combination!

Inspired by these colors~

lovely "love", swirly-girly inspiration pic helped too~

I had to redo this card.

One main reason, I can't seem to grasp the power of red.

After carefully stamping the flowers, I initially inked the dots in red.

Know what it looked like?

Yup.

Blood splatters.

No matter how pretty- looks like a crime scene.

I almost always do this when trying to incorporate red.

Good thing there aren't any creatures appearing on this card or it would have looked even worse.

Can't go wrong with chocolate splatters, though~yes please!

I went with these colors again~but this time added green.

LOVE the white on green polka dots in this paper!!!!

May Friends Surround You

I try to create sympathy cards now and again~it's easier when I'm not grieving.

Time Out Challenge #76

'Friends are connected heart to heart, distance and time can't break them apart'

 I love the line "friends surround you" in this verse...

it's a reminder that the recipient is not alone...nor should they be!

I know from personal experience~it's really easy to withdraw from everyone.

I have some loving, pushy friends who refused to let me waste away in a hole alone!

They called/texted~basically bugged me until I would talk it out. ;)

All I wanted was to be left alone.

That's ok now and again...but not for months on end.

My friends shed light at the end of a dark tunnel and I can't imagine being ok without them.

Prayers that you are not alone~

My daughter has been spouting the word FaBuLoUs lately and I had to make her a card with this sentiment!

Celebrate BIG

Since I recently had a birthday...I treated myself to some crafty deals (and didn't feel guilty~HA!).

One of the bargains, was the Winter Woods paperpack!

My initial response was to hoard it...but ..

 I tinkered with paper patterns and bird dies from two sets~throwing in a few paper punch scraps.

 My order came with the Celebrate Big appreciation gift set~which made my bday extra HaPpY!!!

 I added behind a doubled-up "celebrate" die some square sequins I picked up at a craft store.

This card is just in time...I have another bday to mail this off to!
