The Earth Laughs in Flowers 2 Cards

I was thrilled when blue and black became friends...I hated choosing between the two!

No, seriously, since my teen years I'd buy navy items and never wear them because I didn't have the shoes/purse to match.

My closet was riddled with black though.

Then, I saw the friendship between the two (in fashion and such) and I will hold on to that union forever!

ha!


I added on a third friend for contrast and made two cards:

I was super inspired viewing the gallery, but it also intimidated me.

I don't usually peek at other cards in a gallery, because it freezes me up, but I got curious.

Then I remembered I had fun balloon animal images, that motivated me to give it a go!

A leftover layered sentiment from my last post had me steer toward urban colors again for another entry at Fusion:

 

 I used this cute stamp for its traditional purpose as a balloon:

 (yes, even if it's STILL WINTER in the middle of march! ;))

I brought out my Copics for the following challenge:

Challenge #322-MAKE YOUR MARK

 Fun mistake rediscovery: when I was using my MISTI, I accidentally inked the paper (rather than the sentiment stamp) and left an inky crosshatch type pattern.

I liked the look, which helped the sentiment panel pop a little. 

I'm gonna try the look with other inks!

Butterfly Journey

 I've never spent this much time coloring a single image.

 Unity Stamp Company Allow Yourself/Understand Your Journey, Arteza Real Brush Pens,Nuvo Drops

This unique butterfly is from Unity Stamp Company, and every time I added a stroke of color or water...it changed this into a one-of-a-kind piece!

I definitely couldn't replicate it.

Using Arteza Brush Pens on their watercolor paper, I kept adding shadows and whatnot throughout the day.

It was so relaxing.

Sometimes all I did was add water with one of the various brush sizes I own.

It's handy to have them sitting there, ready to go!
