It took me a couple of attempts to get the "reflected" part cleanly stamped.

My colors were drawn from

Runway Inspired #20.

My eyes are drawn to the purple stripes showcasing the teal and grays.

Thank you for visiting today...

~Grant Me Serenity~

The Sweet 'n Sassy Virtual Stamp day is still going on...

I created this card for Challenge #5:Inspiration.

Here's the photo:

Pretty snazzy, huh?

I tried out my new Tim Holtz distress color, Victorian Velvet here.

The cut out butterflies from Sweet 'n Sassy's New Beginnings die set worked as stencils.

The sentiment is from the New Beginnings stamp set.

I remember my grandmother had this sentiment hanging in her kitchen.

I read it every time I visited her~but I was too young to comprehend the meaning.

Now, I GET IT.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday #180

CASE a DT member's card.

I CASED Silke's gorgeous snowman card here.

It's clean and crisp and she layered two different shapes that gives an interesting focal point.

I layered a couple of different shapes in my card here:

I used bold, fun colors from

The PlayDate Cafe #142

By the way, it's a farewell to four wonderful ladies on the DT...so even if you don't link up this week (it took me awhile to jump in the last day), you can  stop by and say farewell.  ;(

This is also the last day to link up to

The Craft's Meow July Sketch Challenge.

I used Fruity For You to make a congratulations card for a recently married couple.

The pink embossing is HOT PINK and almost blinding if you stare at it too long...but REALLY FUN to play with against the blue.

Thanks for stopping by today!

~CAS-ual Stamp-a-Faire Ribbon~

HEAD OVER TO NICHOLE'S BLOG this weekend...there's a party going on.

I made this card, using Betsy Veldman's Bitty Dot Ribbon technique.

I'm usually not big on handling fire...but it was fun to hover that ribbon over a pleasant smelly candle and let it curl a bit~I only finished the tops.

The black card base is for

I'll keep it short...I want to craft more so...

~Paris~

A friend of mine has been on my mind lately.

Once upon a time she and her family went to Paris.

I enjoyed seeing her pictures years ago and listening to her tales.

Right now she's probably doing mundane chores like dishes or washing clothes....

I'd like to remind her of her exciting trip and how God blessed her so!

That was a moment she can personally bank on, you know?

I used the eye-popping colors from Inspired By #32.

Heidi Swapp papers and ruby and gold embossing powders were my go-to supplies here.

Also, this gorgeous sketch : Waltzingmouse Sketch #106

gave me a wonderful starting point!

Have a blessed day~

~Plans~

I'm so glad that the Lord has His own plans and doesn't go by the ones I've made. ;)

Oh the big plans I had for my life...one of comfort, lack of irritation, and ease.

One in which I was always happy and never lonely.

Had I been given that life....I might not have met Him or wanted to know Him.

I might have been my own god.

That's a small god.

His way is higher than my way and His thought is higher than my thought. (Isaiah 55:9)

I have the nerve, sometimes, to question His plan in my life...even when I don't know what to cook for dinner that night!!!

I'm not proud of that, but I'm sure others can relate. ;)

~My Bowler~

My oldest girlie, Mallory, made it to the Pepsi Bowl State Finals.

I'm so proud of her!

Her favorite colors are pink and black ~ she rocks!

I used Heidi Swapp's Sugar Chic Drama to paper piece the bowling ball and pins.

It's double sided, so the possibilities are endless!

The hardest decision?

Pink pins or pink ball???

If only most decisions were that hard! LOL.

I was inspired to splat with my Copics and Memento markers for the

I used a very similar technique here.

I didn't crimp the front cardbase until AFTER I slattered.

I crimped and then I colored the edges with a black Copic marker.

Hope you have a rockin' day!!!
