Papertrey September 2016 Blog Hop Challenge

Here is my creation~

(dies:Papertrey Ink Winter Woods/Stylized Autumn/Mat Stack 3/Wonderful Words:Joy  background stamp:Market Street Mesh)

I ran with the rustic colors of the photo, but switched out traditional green with Limeade Ice.

Limeade makes any card fresh. :0

http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2016/09/september-2016-blog-hop.html

I added a pattern to the Mat Stack with a background stamp I've had for awhile.

Have a beautiful day friends~

Masculine Florals

hosted by Betsy Veldman,

because both of my brothers-in-law have birthdays coming up!

First card...(zoom in-the dandelion florals are barely visible in kraft color above and below the brown leaves)

(stamps:Papertrey Ink Meadow Greens/The Sweet Life  die:Papertrey Ink Big Basics Birthday)

second card...

(dies:Papertrey Ink Big Basics Birthday/Stylized Autumn,My Favorite Things Horizontal Stitched Strips)

Two man cards DONE...I call that a day. :)

Now to get them in the mail on time....

Fall Coffee Lovers Bloghop

I picked up a coffee stamp in anticipation of today's festivities. ;)

I paired it with an older set that had cool leaves on it and

colored here and there with Copics as if I knew what I was doing.

(stamps:Stampendous Friends Cup,BoBunny Camp-A-Lot leaves)

I saw ahead to the challenge, but...

did a year seriously fly by that fast?

I can't even believe it, but I'll take everyone's word for it. ;)

Pastel Flower

Be proud of me, I finally mailed off the thank you cards for the funeral flowers.

The handmade cards weren't difficult~it was the writing that stumped me.

(stamps: My Favorite Things Flowers)

My handwriting is terrible~my word.

Ugh.

It didn't help that I was emotional too.

I tightened and tightened my letters at each stroke, to the point of suffocation.

I'm so grateful for the sentiment stamp in the front!

I should invest in sentiment innies too~

Create Along With Us:September 2016

I got my PTI order in recently, can you tell?

(stamps:Papertrey Ink Stylized Autumn  dies:Papertrey Ink Stylized Autumn/What the Doodle Waves)

In this card, a wave isn't a wave...

it's a flourish base!

I didn't want to wait for a nautical card~

Create Along With Us:September 2016

I was inspired by the colors in Lizzie Jones' creation here~

http://writeyourmom.blogspot.com/2016/09/christmas-faith.html

Traditional red and green are matched with warm browns.

I used her Christmas colors for an autumn creation.

I love that fox and can't imagine putting her away anytime soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Miss You Tree

Stamping trees makes me happy. ;)

Adding color?

Now THAT brings it to the therapeutic level.

seriously.

(stamps:Papertrey Ink Mighty Oak/Circle Scribbles/Communique Sentiments  dies:Spellbinders Media Mixage Bezel)

I was inspired by the fun tutorial at Papertrey~

host:Danielle Flanders

I used this bold combo on the colored panel of the tree.

I'm ready for fall, but I'm not ready for fall.

You feel me?

I'm glad it's not up to me.

ha!

It's gonna happen whether I'm feelin' it or not,

and I find that comforting.

There have been so many changes, but some changes are expected and good.

Have a great day guys~

Because Sunflowers

Told you I love this teal/turquoise color...

(stamps:Stampendous Daisy Thanks,Sweet 'n Sassy Precious Poppies   dies:My Favorite Things Because You)

The watercolor look is appealing to me...but I lack true white watercolor paper (I have ecru).

Don't worry, I'll get right on that!

As for now....I had fun with a Copic that cried out to me in the scrapbook aisle.

ha!

How can I say no to a Copic???

I sponged a little distress yellow ink on the centers and die cut for contrast.

Check out this gorgeous inspirational pic....

I can't promise I'll veer from this color soon...

Thanks for stopping in~

Journey Changed Course

I've noticed a gorgeous teal/turquoise color chillin' comfortably with fall/autumn decor this year.

~I WELCOME IT~

(stamps: Tim Holtz Purely Random numbers/Phrases 2 sentiment,My Favorite Things Flowers  other:Copic marker)

I took my cue for the sentiment with this challenge~

http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2016/09/just-us-girls-challenge-359-word-week.html

The featured color takes center stage~love the way it peeks through this bold sentiment stamp.

This Tuesday feels like Monday, but Monday is over and I'm ok with that. ;)

Hope you have a great week~

 (SSS Wild Beauty)

I initially was aiming for a color challenge and swerved to the left with patterned paper out of the color zone.

I didn't even think about it until I started to post this...

Maybe I'll give those colors another whirl and focus next time.

At least those colors motivated and inspired me; am I right?

Thanks for stopping by friends~
