No Good Thing Will He Withhold

Our Daily Bread's Challenge  (ODBDSLC60) this week calls for
at least 2 die shapes, a dry embossed background,  and 1 sentiment.

This card uses a verse from ODBD Scripture 6.  It is Psalm 84:11.  I pray this encourages the recipient.

May you be encouraged when you read God's Word!

Thank you for peeking in! :)

Chevron SHINE

The Moxie Fab Chevron Chic Challenge

I was intrigued.

Normally, I can't even LOOK at chevron stripes, let alone craft with it.  It gets me all dizzy.

I found one way ...

I loved making this card. I found it to be good for my soul. As I layered the sequin disks on the chipboard heart, I pictured fashion shows and movie premieres.  I LOVED holding each sequin in my hand and layering it carefully like scales.

I have no idea why.

It was weird.

Look at that SHINE!!!  I was mesmerized,... MESMERIZED,  I tell you!

I dry embossed a little on the trim, which warrants an entry into the Less Is More One Layer Embossing.  I think there is enough white showing. :)

While I was waiting for the glue on the first card to dry, I started playing with a piece of festive chevron paper.

I had to keep looking away from the 4X6 Chevron patterned cardstock.

It made me woozy.

I was stubborn....I WANT TO BE CHIC!!!

I die cut a small piece and broke up the other strip with fringe scissors.

IT WEAKENS THE POWER OF THE CHEVRON

Check out THIS fun number:

I couldn't choose which to showcase.  They were both so much fun.  I want to count them both for Moxie Fab;........

can I? :)

I am also entering the second one in CAS-ual Fridays Buttons and Twine challenge.

All these challenges pushed me out of my comfort zone.  More importantly, I had fun!

Thank you for peeking in! ;)

A Thousand Flowers

While we were stationed in Germany, we had the opportunity to take a day trip to Venice.  If you haven't been, know that the bus ride was 5 hours EACH way and we had an 8, 5 and 3 year old on the adventure.

The road trip WAS the adventure.  Enough said. :)

Anyhoo...it's this piece that reminds me of Venice.

  It's called Millefiori.
(Thousand Flowers)

Since it's warm enough to wear the pink T-shirt (Yayyyyy!), I busted out this necklace.
It didn't take long for me to admire its beauty and then.....hmmmmmm

 Embellish's new challenge!

I tried to mimic the flowers of my jewelry.
I'll admit those flowers WERE tedious.  I just had to show you the HUGE die I used to cut out most of the tiny flowers. I wanted you to see how committed (obsessive) :) I can be when I have a "vision".  :)

I think it was worth it.

Hope you like it, and thanks for peeking in. :)

PSI

PSI....Paper, Stamps, Ink Challenge hosted by Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge #54.
This is my final graduation card (that I know of :) ).  The scene stamp made it easy.  I masked "Congratulations" so that I could stamp the border over it.  I rounded the bottom corners with a Creative Memories corner rounder I have had for a long, long time.  Now that was a great investment!

Thank you for stopping by! :)

Stamps: Stampendous Majestic Lake, ODBD As You Graduate, MS Clear Pattern Stamps, Staz On Ink, clear embossing powder for sentiment

Speak Flowers?

We all love. Our cards and crafts show it. Our love can bridge cultures; transcend languages; and soften hearts.

Don't you love what you do?  It's awesome, isn't it?

I appreciate challenges that motivate us to exercise that love! ;)  Casual Fridays CFC1 (the FIRST ONE EVER!!!...check it out) calls for texting skills.  I was excited to use my "konnichiwa". I also wanted to try out these colors.

PTI MIM 14's Selective Inking Technique is a great way to highlight a main phrase (in a sea of text).  By separating "flowers" on a chipboard piece, I can add a little dimension without fiddling with a bow.  Since I can't manipulate bows (yet), :) ....this works for me!

Thank you so much for stopping in!  Keep on lovin' like you do!

Round, Round and Rom

Simplicity's OLW52 Round and Round motivated me to craft another graduation card!  It calls for circles and minimal embellishments. I wanted to use these birds, so I framed them with circles.

Here comes your Round and Round.

Aren't their expressions comical?

Shelby's guinea pig, Chester, carries the same quirky expression.  I just love that little guy.  My husband thinks his "human" eyes are creepy.  I think they're what make Chester.....well, CHESTER, ya know?

awwww, Chester...... :)

Next up, the Rom:
Romans 12:2
