2 BATS, A SILENT SCREAM AND Make It Monday

I am slowly creating those Christmas Cards ...one by one.

I know, I know...but it will BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT.

You DO know that, right???

hosted by Ashley.

2BATS AND A SILENT SCREAM....

Last night, at 1:40 IN THE AM...my oldest poked my shoulder to wake me up.

"Mom, there are two bats in the living room".

uggers.

Since we are blessed with doors that shut the living room out, I said we'd ummm,

"deal with it"

tomorrow.

Barely slept a wink, by the way.

This morning...my youngest girlie
(who was born with super hero courage and strength)
joined me in the confrontation.

Ahem.

Let me rephrase that.

I timidly backed her up.

It was the mommy thing to do.

I was a ROYAL wimp last time...cowering in the living room while I let her catch a flying bat....

I didn't feel bad about it either.

 You should have seen her!

She didn't duck OR wince while doing it ...she was AH-MAY-ZING.

Have I told you how much I LOVE THAT KID?!!!!!

We are talking...almost sobbing...kept on hugging...

"I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH KIDDO!!!" LOVE.

sigh.

She is the best.

THIS round, however,

I felt that sending her

into the living room to face TWO BATS...

just seemed....

well....

 wrong.

She IS only 12.

Plus, it wasn't like they were flying around...we had to HUNT for them...expecting them to ZOOM out from every corner.

The anticipation was almost too much to bear.

So, I put my BRAVEST mommy face on and I "assisted" her while

dressed in eargrabbers and gloves.

uggers.

We got 'em.

That's right~

not a scream was belted out either.

Well,

except for a silent one. ;)

To be honest, I was afraid to even open my mouth....

here is one 'lil guy (hiding under the couch) that she picked up with a towel and set outside...

(Don't worry, he eventually flew away.)

 What's that I hear????

Are you silently screaming too???

LOL.

I hear ya.

Darling card, horrors in the LR, it's the season for bats! See 'em all over the valley. In my neck of the woods, they're known as fruit bats, and eat the bad bugs. (thats what they tell me anyway!) Still not good when they find their way into one's home! Marlena, tell your daughter she's my hero too!

Your snowman card is adorable! Your bat however is not:) ......well just not adorable in the living room. You are both just too brave.

Cute snowman card. Yes, you are right. Christmas will be here shortly.
Don't like bats. What a brave daughter you have. About a year ago, my neighbor had a baby bat in her house. Her husband got it out as I relayed the method to do it over the phone . Found the info on the internet. Not fun.
