Thanking with a Regifted Jar

Frugal Friday challenges you with the following:

"For this week’s challenge, we want to see your inexpensive/frugal gift ideas (anything but a card), using something you have recycled and reused from around your house.  We'd like to see you repurpose a 3D item and turn it into a fabulous gift or gift packaging, using your JustRite stamps!"

I recycled 3 items with this project.

The first two are seen here.

I recycled a canister liner that had wonderful noodle graphics and used it for DP on this mason jar and lid.

My "designer paper" was cut out with Spellbinders' classic circles for the lid and scalloped ovals for the jar.
The monogram was stamped with JustRite's Monogram Stamper and cut out with Spellbinder's scalloped circles.

I used just a bit of flourish from JustRite's Thinking of You on the oval.

The label on the lid was mod podged.

So was the label on the jar, but only on top...to make it sturdy and glossy.

I put mod podge on the ribbon to adhere it to the jar and then tied the label through the holes with affordable twine from the home improvement section.

I got this jar from our wonderful neighbor (and church friend) who gave us homemade spaghetti recently.  She cooked it from the tomatoes in her garden.
She has brought us the most gorgeous/humongous cabbage you have ever seen...

and brought our family a lovely meal when my father-in-law passed away last year.

I am sure I'm not the only recipient of her caring gifts.

I filled the jar with some labels so she can tie them to packages/jars.

The labels were easy.  The centers were stamped from JustRite's Seeds of Kindness and You're So Sweet with the 2" round stamper.

I then used my Spellbinders' classic circles to cut them out.

I used my Spellbinders' scalloped circles to cut out coordinating DP, and layered them with the sentiment centers.

The third recycled item is this

A magnet/pen holder that my husband salvaged from a notepad.  He threw it in one of our random junk drawers...knowing I would figure out some way to use it.

We have good junk! ;)

Here is what I will give her:

I covered the front of the magnet with DP and glued a sticky pad and clothespin to it.

I attached a label to the clothespin.

Even the pen is coordinated with DP.

I learned from GinaK STAMPTV to cut out DP 3 1/2"X1" and roll it to insert in a Pentel R.S.V.P. pen.

WHEW! Hope you got all that, thanks for stopping by and reading all my info. ;)

Macaroni dp! How clever! And I love all of your recycled items, too. You have a hubby who knows you well, throwing stuff in the junk drawer. ;)

Very clever and very useful; I'm sure your neighbor will love your thoughtful gift! I'm chuckling to myself, as my hubby saved the mixed nut container (as he often does), knowing I'd cover/decorate it one day too! ;-)

How clever of you to think of the macaroni box for a background! I am totally impressed. :)
