One of a Kind Birthday Bigfoot

This Calls for Confetti Forest Landscape/Love Bigfoot Die, Kindred Stamps Out of the Bag sentiment, The Ton Stamps Pyrotechnics (fireworks), Copics for shading the background

I purchased these dies from This Calls for Confetti and challenged myself to lean toward Color Throwdown's colors:

Green is obvious, but the red and orange (it's the lightest orange I have) are in the fireworks!

I literally colored the backdrop with different shades of grey (trying to darken the sky to let the fireworks shine)...using Copic pens.

I also have a sliver of patterned paper ...zoom in to see it.

Not much pattern showing, because I was more focused on the attachment strip (but I used it!). ;)

Thanks for your sweet visit!

New Stencil and a Sketch

The Ton Stamps Postage Party Die/Postage Panel Die/Postage Sunflower Layering Stencils, Picket Fence Studios Fancy Autumn Sentiments

Sometimes a sketch zings me and I think "make time to use that sketch", so here's Sunday Stamps' newest:

I used SO MANY COLORS with this stencil and the hardest part was cutting it (emotionally...iykyk).

When I saw Time Out's Challenge I figured, why not???

It's framed "photos" spread out...so I'm linking it there as well.

I had one more postage pic left and I love this sentiment and wanted to add it on the inside:

I appreciate the time you took to visit!!!

Fall is Proof that Change is Good Fall Stenciling

The Ton Stamps Postage Party Die/Postage Panel Die/Autumn Layering Stencils, Picket Fence Studios Fancy Autumn Sentiments, Tonic Studios Mirror Cardstock

Had a wonderful time playing with this new Autumn Layering stencil set from The Ton!!!

I matched it with an autumn sentiment from Picket Fence Studios and am entering a couple of challenges:

Time Out Challenges has Pick 2 as an option and I chose "Metallic" (Tonic Studios Mirror Cardstock and metallic thread) and "Season".

I went with bright colors (esp borrowing Effie's idea in her video to color the background with a Fuchsia color first, before any other steps).

DT INk Mood Board

American Crafts Jen Hadfield Live & Let Grow, Mushroom Vinyl Stickers (Kohl's store)

It's time for a new challenge at INkspirational and this time it's a mood board.

I was smitten by the mushroom design and followed the colors of this mushroom sticker I recently snagged at Kohl's.

It's mostly known to be a department store, but recently, they've incorporated what I call a cute corner. :)

For just a few dollars, you can pick up some cute stickers or other fun last minute delights.

This ephemera sentiment seemed to follow the colors and I rolled with it. ;)

Please do join us with your unique creation!

Disco Trio

Whimsy Stamps Retro Dancers, My Favorite Things Stitched Mini Slimline die, Brutus Monroe Slate Cardstock, Papertrey Ink Holiday Photo Finishers sentiment, Damask Love American Crafts Life's a Party paper, Tonic Studios Mirror Cardstock

These cards came together so easy and fast, thanks to the wonderful disco ball from American Crafts Damask Love Life's a Party paper pad.

I like to aim for Christmas cards that may also celebrate the New Year (especially since I don't know when they will be received).

The dancers are from Whimsy Stamps cut from Mirror Cardstock.

Posting this makes me want to cut more out!!!

How fun are they?!

DT INk DC Add a Tag

It's time for a new challenge at INk!

This time it's Carol's choice of prompt, and she wants us to add a tag.

I don't use tags as often as I should, considering the thought I put into which dies I purchase.

This a great opportunity to put those tag dies to use (or recycle those clothing tags you may have kept).

My card features a clothing tag, with a die cut "2" and an image I fussy cut from a tattoo sheet to give to my granddaughter.

The background is also from the tattoo packaging, which I jazzed up with a stitched die.

Yay for recycling products that I didn't have in product form!!! ;)

When You Go Through Deep Waters

Erin Lee Creative Deep Waters Stamp & Stencil, Papertrey Ink Geode Layers Die set, Brutus Monroe Cardstock

I received this order the SAME day I created this card and it was so satisfying to play with...

the stencil and stamp set come together guys!!!

I could have left it just like this...

But I wanted to Copic the background with a color that matched the top right shade of Tim Holtz Distress Ink that I blended into the stencil.

I had fun with it and brought out my dearly loved Papertrey Ink Geode Layers I've had for awhile.

Oh I will be playing with this more for sure!

Thank you for your sweet visit!

Plant Wall Birthday

The Stamp Market Grid Die, Pink Fresh Studio Lots of Love, Pretty Pink Posh Sentiment Strip

Created this for my sister and sent it off!

She's a plant collector and I love it ;).

Happy Birthday to my sister. ;)

Sketchy Light Up Birthday Card

I had fun with this Brutus Monroe Sketchy set:

Brutus Monroe Sketchy Dies/Sketchy Sentiments/Midnight Cardstock

I lit it up with Pear Blossom Press EZ light too (I wanted to impress my brother in law, who's a talented artist)!

Brutus Monroe Sketchy Dies/Sketchy Sentiments/Midnight Cardstock, Pearblossom Press EZ light

The spider web is a doily I stocked up on forever ago.

I keep finding them in sections of my craft room, and then I say "OH yah....I forgot I had these!".

His October birthday warrants a spider web, me thinks.

Thank you for your sweet visit!

God's Masterpiece

Papertrey Ink Geode Layers Die, Stampin Up By the Tide, Verve (no longer in business) Bible verse

Hubby requested a fishing card for his buddy...and I had this secondhand set I picked up at a cool antique shop (never been inked).

I started with leaving the Geode Layer panel in the die and sponging a few colors.

After that it was fish, squiggle line, sentiment...

boom, done!

He liked it and is sending off.

Check out the blues and brown at Time Out Challenges.

The boat and view screams fishing (with coffee like background) to me!

Thanks for stopping by today~

Neon Love You Inspiration

Jen Hadfield Live & Let Grow Phrase Ephemera, Karin Brushmarker Pro Neon

I was a teen in the 80's...

OF COURSE I'm jumping in this cardmaking pool!

I might have a slight headache admiring these colors, but you only live once, right? ;)

This challenge was right there at the back of my mind when I saw these neon markers at a great price at Michaels...that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

I've always wanted an excuse to get it (but when I had the nerve, it would be sold out online).

I just wanted to play, so I had at it...wow they're so fun guys!!!  Truly!

I topped off the swoosh and specks with a phrase ephemera that felt right.

I wanted to participate in Just Us Girls Case and I bounced off of Vicki's lovely mason jar floral arrangement!

I was able to pick up this Pink Fresh Studio stencil/die set at my local craft store and I paired it with a thrift find (mason jar set from Stampin' Up).

I used the pretty combo at Color Hues:

DT INk Mood Board

The Ton Stamps Postage Windows Stencil/Butternut Squash/Grouped Fresh Sunflowers/Autumn Foliage, Sunny Studio Autumn Splendor, Picket Fence Studio Fancy Autumn Sentiment, acrylic paint on die cut square (using washi as a guide)

It's time for a new challenge at INkspirational!

This time there's a Mood Board that could inspire you in many ways!

I went with the dusty color block vibe, by stenciling with The Ton Stamps Windows Stencil.

The dipped panel was something in my scrap pile, when I played around with removeable washi and acrylic paint.

Show us what you came up with and link up at our challenge!

As always, thank you for your sweet visit~

Inspired By Pool Floats

 The Greetery Sweet Tooth

I made this after seeing this at Inspired By:

The Greetery's Sweet Tooth set was perfect for layering doughnuts that matched the image.

I just had to take a black sharpie and fill in the "seeds" that were meant to be sprinkles on the watermelon and kiwi inspired images.

I'm also submitting to Seize the Birthday the challenge:

the topping is favorite color, but I'm going with anything goes (so many colors here).

Thanks for stopping by today!
