Classy AND Stylish

I love this quote from Innovative Stamp Creations.

Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger Girly and Gutsy
is classy.

Nothing is more classy than focusing on the best in others, don't you think? ;)

I also did some embossing for Speedy the Cat's Friends Challenge Week 20 Emboss It!

The pink and white striped paper was embossed with Sizzix's Texture Fades Brick embossing folder.

The black layer was embossed with a cuttlebug folder.

Thank you for visiting today. ;)

Stars, a Sketch, and Patriotic Colors

My friend's birthday is the Fourth of July.  How fun is that?!

She has the awesome personality to match that day too...she's like a party waiting to happen.;)

I shall be a good friend this year and send her a card:

I am new to stamping and coloring...but it wasn't hard to color the chipboard button and simple white ribbon with a grey Copic marker. The ribbon became a little stiff after coloring, but I like that!  It was easier to handle and lay flat.

I colored the red stars with a Memento marker.  I used an Innovative Stamp Creations stamp for the background (I hardly have any grey cardstock).

There are 3 challenges that got me headed in the right direction to make this fun card:

Pals Paper Arts 99  Element of Style-Stars,

(PS...I got to see Bette Midler when I was a wee little one..maybe 3..it is one of my first memories!!! ;)

Play Date Cafe with these awesome colors,

and Just Add Ink 73 's sketch:

Supplies: Innovative Stamp Creations Rocks on the Shore (free stamp thrown in with my order...cool!!!), ODBD Time (given to me free from a blog hop....cool! ), Quickutz star belt loop (given to me by my sister who got it free at a scrapbookstore...cool!), Copic marker, Memento marker, Staz on ink, Making Memories Just Chillin' DP

A Clean and Blue "Hi!"

Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger Classically Modern

This trigger displays a beautiful room that has blues and whites with a touch of modern on the wall.  I love this room...so clean and perfect!  I actually stayed in a similar room while visiting friends.  My friend has a knack for class and her bedding had a blue and white flower design.  It was tastefully decorated and so CLEAN looking.  She and her husband were the perfect hosts...they gave up THEIR room, can you believe it?  Wow, talk about hospitality!
I was thinking of them while making this card...we haven't gotten together in awhile, and we only live a couple of hours from each other now!  We drove 8 hours to see them years ago, when they gave up their room.  Now, we just seem to get so caught up in who knows what.  I need to tell them at least "Hi!".

Here is my "Hi"...

I didn't have any blues to hit the trigger blues...

...which made me BLUE. :(

LOL.   ;)

But, I had INK and a background stamp! I made squares to frame the corners.  See those gorgeous vases?  They are from my other FAVORITE ODBD stamp.  I am also entering this is in ODBD Stamping in Time 36.  I added that cool swirly thing to make the "Modern" point!

Thanks for peeking in!

The Storm

Sometimes the Lord calms the storm and sometimes the Lord lets the storm rage, and calms His child.
Oh, how true this is!  I specifically bought this sentiment for a lady who was going through breast cancer and chemo.  She told me that it really spoke to her.  To God be the glory, because He led me to find this comfort for her.
I wanted to share this with you; in the hopes that it would bring you comfort today.  I made a card which was inspired by Embellish Magazine's Text Color Trends Challenge.

May you be encouraged today.

True Blue

CAS-ual Friday's Bring on the Bling

gave me an opportunity to showcase that baby bling from  Want2Scrap.  I mentioned in my last post that they had gifted me with goodies since I won their blog hop....what a blessing!

Pals Paper Arts sketch gave me a goal to reach....

Here is my card:

It also meets the requirements of Mark's Finest Papers monochromatic blues.  This stamp from ISC  is a classic, and one of my favorites.  All the stamps are from that set.  The sentiment is from the Best Occasions Vellum Quote Pack.

Thank you for peeking in today! ;)
