~Make It Monday Applique and an Ornament~

I kept this card simple for

I DID bring out my sewing machine for it (but you don't have to).

Thank you, Heather, for challenging me with your tutorial!

It comes with a gift inside-utilizing the die cut I punched out. ;)

This ornament was created using a past technique,

Cereal box cardboard was used for layers.
You wouldn't believe how substantial this ornament feels.

Very cool-inexpensive gift!

My colors were inspired by the beautiful photo at

I hope to make more of these soon.

Thanks for stopping by. ;)

  1. What a cool card. And, you are fast. I haven't even had a chance to watch the video yet. I really love that set, and you chose some great colors.

  8. Marlena, what a great idea to include a handmade ornament in your card. I think you did a wonderful job stitching around that image. I don't think I would have attempted that myself. So glad to see you playing along at FYI again!
