Deepest Sympathy

My husband requested a sympathy card for a coworker.

Alcohol Inks, Spellbinders Hot Foil Plate & Die set, Papertrey Ink Happy Trails Dragonfly, Erin Lee Creative Black Glossy Cardstock, Avery Elle Wonky Stitches, Silver Cardstock

I had this panel of green, gold and blue alcohol inks.

It adds a lovely texture and base, and I was hoping it would "lightly" create a mood for a sympathy card.

I propped it on silver cardstock and added a strip of a hot foiled sentiment.

(Silver cardstock main base, gold alcohol inks and Hot Foiled sentiment)

Happy Birthday from The Burger Family

I created this for my youngest because these characters feel like family. ;)

Kindred Stamps Burger Family,  Scoring Board, Happy Birthday Sentiment, Pretty Pink Posh Sentiment die (behind banner die), Simon Says Stamp Streamer Ribbon dies, Copics, Alcohol inks (strip below the sentiment)

Here's the inside; I even added a single light. ;)

Erin Lee Creative You Got This Hot Foil Sentiment, Pear Blossom Press One Light

I used a tool to push the light on, since my nails are JACKED at the moment.

I added scoring so that the characters are closer together, and to add some texture.

Simon Says (Wednesday): Add Some Texture

I scored three lines in between each character...

and folded them with two "hills" and one "valley".

That's it!

I enjoyed using these stamps for the first time and completing something in time to hand over to my daughter on her special day.

DT Designer Choice Paper Piecing

It's time for a new challenge at INkspirational~

Picket Fence Studios Boys of All Seasons, Avery Elle Harvest Collection Paper Pad, Sizzix Tim Holtz Retro TV die

This time the prompt is Marina's choice, and she chose paper piecing!

I stamped and die cut this image from Picket Fence Studios, and colored his face and hair.

As I was debating a color for his shirt, I decided this would be the card I paper pieced.

I stamped mostly the bottom of the image on patterned paper from Avery Elle, and fussy cut.

Please visit our challenge blog to see what my talented teammates paper pieced and join us with your unique creation~

Make A Wish Beautiful Slimline

Stamplorations Make a Wish sentiment die, Spellbinders The Birthday Celebrations and Pastel Glimmer Foil, Pink and Main Beautiful Slimline, Tonic Studio Mirror Cardstock, Erin Lee Creative White Glossy Cardstock

I love blues and I'm originally an island girl, so this picturesque challenge has me smitten!

Blue pastel Glimmer foil and Tonic Studios Marina Mist Mirror shimmers different shades when you hold it to the light.

These cardstocks are so calming when observed straight on

(subtle and one colour like the sound of the wind).

I used a Stamplorations sentiment which is one of my faves...big and bold and ALL CONNECTED.

There aren't tiny specks to search for with this sentiment die.

Cozy Coffee & Snowflake

The Stamp Market Season's Snowflake, Stamplorations All You Need is Coffee, Gina K Last Minute Labels (Christmas sentiment), Hero Arts Graphic Flower (snowflake center), Avery Elle Double Stiched Rectangles

I had fun pulling together cozy colors and images for a graphic creation.

The following challenges gave me inspiration:

I love the greys and cream and coffee image!

This challenge had me reach for this bold simple snowflake, and match it with a coffee image and sentiment (vertically placed).

Happy Birthday Green Copper

Hero Arts Color Layering Graphic Flowers/Glow Girl sentiment, Monstera Leaf Embossing Folder

Challenges give me a starting point and a deadline...and I need a masculine card next month!

I dug out a couple of older Hero Arts sets for their challenge "Everything Old is New Again".

The graphic flower set is perfect for a masculine card, and the Glow Girl sentiment seemed to fit.

Copper and Green are perfect for a masculine card as well!

I embossed a Darice Monstera Leaf with an embossing folder and edged the panel with Versamark ink.

I then used a mini sponge to apply more Versamark ink sporadically on the panel.  The embossing powder I used was copper.
