Hope in the Light

I snagged a handful of embossing folders at a little consignment store in the middle of nowhere.

This lightbulb EF is one of them.

I used black ink on the raised edge and ran it through my Big Shot.

It doesn't matter (to me) that the words are backword (raised edge was on the flip side).

They are craftily designed into the bulbs as wire, so no one would be the wiser (unless you point it out like I just did-ha!).

I appreciate your sweet visits today~

Kind of Like You

The Ton Stamps Smooched, Americana Rookwood Red Acrylic paint, Avery Elle Double Pierced Rectangles, Brutus Monroe Sea Urchin Cardstock

Here's acrylic paint salvaged before the bottle dries out completely.

There's probably a tablespoon of this paint left that I've had for years.

I washi taped and painted, which left a clean angle of color.

DT INkspirational Photo Challenge

It's time for another challenge at INkspirational!

Rongrong SCO921 Pop Fizz, Picket Fence Studios Your Eyeliner Straight background stamp, Avery Elle Double Pierced Rectangles

After numerous attempts at recreating a backdrop like our photo prompt:

I went in a different direction and focused on the colors instead.

I wanted to give that pop of red and slide in as many colors in order (with store backdrop a blue sky color).

Please check out the challenge blog and see what my talented team mates came up with and join us with your unique creation!

Dragon Fruit Sweet Side of Life

I've had dragon fruit infused drinks for a couple of years now.

However, it's only recently that I've seen the fruit WHOLE.

It's such a dramatic image...it almost looks like a flame!

I finally ordered this set ~

Picket Fence Studios Dragon Fruit, Copics

By the way, if I color, I use Copics.

I've got a good handle on what I have and don't have, so the Sandy Allnock chart works for me.

She organized the colors visually, which helps so much!

I had willy nilly colors from all ends of the spectrum and some of them are very similar.

Since getting this chart, I've rerouted my collection to fill in the visual gaps.

Just wanted to share, in case anyone wanted tips on how to venture into more (yet a modest supply of) Copics~

Here's some challenges that got this card done and done...

3 Ninjas

It's still May, which is

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in the U.S.

Altenew Ninja Invasion/Label Love Japanese, Avery Elle Double Pierced Rectangle

I married this adorable Altenew ninja set with Japanese sentiments from the same company.

There are translations available at Altenew, so I printed them and slid it in my stamp pack for easy access.

Since the English translation was available on the ninja set (minus "because" which I trimmed), I stamped it as well.

Here's the color challenge I had in mind when I swirled the ninjas in the air~replacing umbrellas with solid color characters.
