Penguin Christmas Card and Zero Tan

I gotta say...I'm pretty proud of each Christmas card I create...especially since it's only September and I barely stamped these last year.

There is this great sketch at

I am also submitting this to

Challenge #200 - LET'S CELEBRATE!!!

 &

Simon Says STAMPtember: Use a Stamp Challenge and Blog Hop.

It's getting colder now; I pulled out two pairs of jeans from my closet and wasn't sure if either would fit.

It's been awhile.

Good news..I could sit without busting a seam...

 BRING ON THE JEANS WEATHER!!!

At least the pressure is off to catch up on my tan...

(I grew up in Hawaii and I'm used to being a wee bit darker than I am now...but the north doesn't sport daily rays...).

It's probably not going to happen at this point.

Oh.

 well. ;)

Now I can stay hibernated and craft craft craft!!!

;)

Thanks for stopping by..I pray you have a blessed week.

Happy Sketch

New stamps arrived recently...you know what that means...

Gotta use them!

I went for one of the biggest happy in my stash.

I was inspired by the following delightful challenges...

Challenge #200 - LET'S CELEBRATE!!!

As we remember today...let us also be encouraged to pray for God's peace, wisdom and discernment.

I pray we are not filled with fear, but remember God's providence and peace even in perilous times.

It's painful to think upon that day, September 11, but I also want to remember how our hearts have been softened and how much that day personally woke me up out of a spiritual slumber.

Leave no room for complacency or the mundane...every day is a gift.

~May God guide you and keep you~

Wooden Bracelets and a 200th Celebration

HAPPY....SMILE...HEART

If I could add emojis to this post,

I would...

because there is a reason to celebrate, my bloggy friends.

Word Art Wednesday is celebrating their 200th!!!

To God be the glory!!!

Challenge #200 - LET'S CELEBRATE!!!

This is no small feat, my friends...I have dropped out of sight for MONTHS at a time.

You don't know how much it means to me to come back and see this sweet challenge site still around.

It's a 2 for 1...

Godly Devotion + Fun Challenge....

Make that a 3 for 1

+ Free Word Art scripture.

It doesn't get much better than that.

I wanna share this project I took the time to finish...

I got the bracelet idea here...

but didn't make it in time for the Papertrey Challenge.

I'm gonna help you out and share this pic of the Mason Jars I bought.

I've wanted a reason to get a dozen (I don't can...so there goes that enabler).

You bring the sticks to a boil and leave soaked for 30 minutes then...

 you do this.

cuz I'm a goober...

I tried to wrap the sticks AROUND the opening the first try....

with rubber bands, clips...

you name it ...

Jeesh.

By the time I reread instructions and realized they should be placed IN...too much time was lost.

ugh.

Embarrassing too because my youngest, who is 14 and VERY SMART...figured straight up that

THAT'S how it went...

anyhoo...

 YOU'RE welcome

if this helps you cuz you're a visual person like me. ;)

By the time I was done fussing with those poor sticks...

they became perfect for a larger wrist.

Good news, though...Crop-Dile punchers pierce right through them (when dry)

...so I added twine to keep those pretties ON the recipients wrist.

I'm pretty excited to be using up those huge popsicle sticks.

I'm also pretty excited to memorialize those gorgeous paper prints in a 3D way.

I pray your week is flowing along smoothly...

if not...

I'm so sorry.

I pray that the Lord strengthen you and keep you and that He give you wisdom to drive forward.

~In Him~

Still Lovin' Orange and Teal

I'm not over orange and teal.

My. Word. it makes this girl so happy....

I think I've figured out what it is...

my husband loves orange and I'm all about the blues.

Although we are soooo different,

somehow IT WORKS when we are together.

Our kids are pretty cute too.

~smile~

Hey, check out djkardkreations 5th challenge

http://www.djkardkreations.com/2015/09/its-here-nbus-challenge-5.html

I pulled out these "man I don't want to open up that delicious package of felt stickers...let me just LOOK at 'em"

and I actually

cut apart

that yummy sheet

 & STUCK 'em.

It was a little painful....but I'm so glad I committed.

Now they can sit all comfy-like on their cards. ;)

Since I stamped...I'm also adding this as a second entry at

Simon Says STAMPtember: Use a Stamp Challenge and Blog Hop.

I had not hopped in awhile...I forgot how much I glean from other stampers!

 Hope my carding streak continues...

We Have Enough

This sentiment pretty much sums how I should view my closets and den.

The one thing I would do before every military move is purge.

I haven't purged since our move here...it's been about 7 years of retirement.

During this slow and painful weeding out mode...

I've stumbled over tiny fold out chairs that would hold my girlies FEET....if that~

I'm the shortest of the crew as we speak.

It makes me tear up.

My. Word.

Annnnnd this is why I haven't purged through my closets sooner. ;)

I don't have the heart and there are so many memories tumbling through my brain....

But drive on I SHALL, because someone, somewhere, will be blessed by these darling trio of chairs, loads of picture books, and little girl dreams.

sniff.

Mix + Match Challenge

I'm really really late to the party at Papertrey Ink.

SAF 2015: Mix + Match Challenge
Mixing Colors

I don't feel confident with the colors of pink and blue together...but I think with a little black and white thrown in, I can handle it.

I look at this and don't cringe. ;)

I appreciate the videos that covered patterns and colors...I can always learn to learn. ;)

I'm starting early with Christmas cards this year...I've made several so far~YAYYYYY!

Well, that's it for me..I better turn in for the night.

~Thanks for stopping by~
