i miss you tree

CASE Study Challenge #116

Angeline Yong

I love the simplicity of her card featured this week!

I tried to mimic the minimalist look by stamping my "tree", which is really one of the rays and a burst from PTI's Hello Sunshine.

I inked up with Versamark and embossed with Stampendous Aged Embossing Enamel~I highly recommend the stuff.

There is nothing like it....it's gritty, sparkly and packs a punch!

I don't mean to be a bummer with the sentiment...

but many times Christmas brings about nostalgic memories of those we can't be with on that special day.

I'm sure the feeling is reciprocated~

~Live in the Sunshine~

I love challenges.

They motivate me to create

&

help me to design cards.

Make It Monday #90:
Creating Focal Point Sentiments With Stamps and Dies
inspired me to think of "outside the box" sentiments.

I could send it to my numerous family members who live in Hawaii.

Aren't they blessed????

I gave

ColourQ Challenge #162 a shot.

I am also linking this to

Crafty Friends Challenge
CFC #10 Sentimental

Although I don't live in HI anymore, I am SO grateful when we have a sunny day like today~

~Bring Your Own Thankful~

Make It Monday #90:
Creating Focal Point Sentiments With Stamps and Dies

Betsy's technique added mileage to my sentiment dies.

We are challenged this week to match sentiment stamps and dies together-which inspired me to look beyond the stamp set the dies were intended for.

I taped over the last line of this sentiment from PTI's Hello Sunshine and married it with the sentiment from PTI's Counting My Blessings Die set.

I love the nightfall colors of the

I just had to participate there!!!

DYSU #97 Leaves and Trees

I stamped my leaves from Papertrey Ink's Rosie Posie in Jenni Bowlin Spice Tin.

How is your weekend so far?

I spent almost a week at home sick (many times in bed)...so it was nice to go out, face the world and be somewhat "with it".

Nasty colds going around out there folks...bust out the anti-bacterials!!!

Hope you stay healthy....

~A Torn Wreath~

I've had this idea in my head for awhile and was inspired to try it out for

CAS-ual Fridays:So Torn.

CFC78- Create a Clean And Simple project that has something torn on it.
Tear that cardstock, designer paper or even felt. Get creative and tear it up

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:Fantasy in Fall

Cath's challenge also reinforced my "rolling" thoughts of a wreath peeling from the center.

The berries were a lovely inspiration!

Simply die cut a scalloped circle; use a kraft knife to double "X" the center and roll out!

You don't even have to adhere the rolls down.

Wind the berries around and you're done~

Thank you for stopping in today~have an awesome weekend friends~

~The Whites of Their Eyes~

I heard that someone I know was run over by a Moped-

a hit and run.

He's hurting mighty bad right now.

ROUND UP THE POSSE

seems to be in order.

I hope he'll like this.

"The Whites of Their Eyes" came to mind as I was folding the bigger scalloped circle.

It took a lot to rough it up...I had to bend and tear until I saw the whites.

The whites of them eYeS....

that is.

LOL

Y'all take care and watch yourselves, now, ya hear?

~Jazzy Masculine Border~

I threw together another card for CAS-ual Fridays CFC77.

I am proud of creating with these scraps laying about my desk, plus, I don't have to put them away!!!! ;)

My biggest inspiration was the jazzy zigzaggy.

It's what's left when you die cut Verve Pennant trim dies facing each other~cool huh?

I picked the smallest sentiment from my Waltzingmouse Back in the Saddle to finish off this journal tag that was also sitting there.

I am inches away from feeling completely well...the littlest bit of energy encourages me!

Have a great day friends~
