Watercolor smooshing.
Doesn't smooshing sound fun???
It IS.
IT REALLY IS.
I inked up a clear container with Papertrey's Hawaiian Shores and New Leaf...
used a waterbrush to swirl the colors...
and I SMOOSHED watercolor paper on it.
I used The Sweet Life dies to cut roses, and only stamped the details~no need to mess with that beautiful marbleized color.
The unique pattern of the paper is fantastic...I'll definitely use this technique again.
The left over paper was sooo pretty, I had to use some for the corners.

Give it a whirl...and a smoosh...you'll be hooked, I'm tellin ya~ ;)

ReplyDeleteWow, Marlena! Your card is amazing the way you added cut the background and then added it to the base. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a creative and beautiful way of using that smoosh water color!
ReplyDeleteStunning card Marlena! LOVE the colors you chose...this whole card just "pops"! Beautifully done! :0)
ReplyDeleteSmooshing splendid, Marlena! You've given those marbleized colours centre stage! Gorgeous. As for smooshing...I tried. I failed. Gahhh....Perhaps I'll give it a go again, but really...How pathetic! I need to watch the PTI video again (and again and again). You've given me 'try once more' incentive.
