Watercolor Smooshing

Watercolor smooshing.

Doesn't smooshing sound fun???

It IS.

IT REALLY IS.

I inked up a clear container with Papertrey's Hawaiian Shores and New Leaf...

used a waterbrush to swirl the colors...

and I SMOOSHED watercolor paper on it.

I used The Sweet Life dies to cut roses, and only stamped the details~no need to mess with that beautiful marbleized color.

The unique pattern of the paper is fantastic...I'll definitely use this technique again.

The left over paper was sooo pretty, I had to use some for the corners.

hosted by Betsy.

Give it a whirl...and a smoosh...you'll be hooked, I'm tellin ya~ ;)

stamps: Papertrey Ink (Meadow Greens, The Sweet Life,)
ink: Papertrey Ink (Hawaiian Shores, New Leaf), Versafine Onyx
dies: Papertrey Ink (The Sweet Life, Meadow Greens)
other: Kaisercraft rhinestones, watercolor paper

  4. Smooshing splendid, Marlena! You've given those marbleized colours centre stage! Gorgeous. As for smooshing...I tried. I failed. Gahhh....Perhaps I'll give it a go again, but really...How pathetic! I need to watch the PTI video again (and again and again). You've given me 'try once more' incentive.
    Hugs~c
