DYSU #77:Inspired By a Movie
I just saw the movie "We Bought a Zoo" ....I highly recommend it!
Rarely will I watch a movie over and over...but I watched it again with my Mom and then my sister within two weeks (I wanted to be there when they watched it).
I cried everytime.
There are some intense emotional scenes (I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 10).

ReplyDeleteI love that chicken wire, and the little fleur de lis motifs, and of course that fab rooster image, they look wonderful in these dramatic colours!
Thanks for joining us at DYSU this week!
wow this is too cute...I love those roosters...fun design
ReplyDeleteOooooo my new fav from you Marlena! Love the design in the fun chicken wire and the rooster look like they're perched on tin roofing. Our son & Daughter-in-law told us this was a good movie, we'll have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteSuper combination of challenges. I really like the pop of blue with the tiny fleur de lys images. Thanks for the film recommendation too!
ReplyDeleteHello my friend. :D I haven't seen that movie, but if you say there are intense emotional scenes -- and animals might be involved -- there's no way I can view that! My mom wouldn't let me watch "Lassie" or "Simba The White Lion" cartoon when I was little. When animals are hurt (or worse), I just can't deal! LOL
ReplyDeleteMarlena, your card is DIVINE! I love every single element you put together, and think you did a fab job of these challenges.
Thanks so much for joining us at The Play Date CAfe!
This is so cool, Marlena! Love how you stamped on and off with those roosters and added the corrugated texture! The little fence is perfect with the added Fleur de Lis designs!
ReplyDeleteGreat shabby chic card! Love how you added the blue in the chicken wire! Thanks for playing this week at The Play Date Cafe.
ReplyDeleteI really need to get my hands on that chicken wire, Marlena! You've highlighted it beautifully and really rocked the color splash! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVED that movie, too! We watched it on family movie night a couple of months back. My daughter had a hard time getting into it. She just played in the next room, but my son loved it to pieces! He's a real animal lover!
That WAS a great movie! My 7 yr old grandson saw it and surprisingly dealt with the emotional subjects very well. Not like him at all, but put in the context of this film, it really addressed them very well. I lvoe your card! Thanks for joining us at DYSU!
ReplyDeleteA great farmyard theme with your pretty stampings! thanks for playing with the WMS sketch this week!
ReplyDeleteLove the crimping and splash og black paint and those roosters in a row are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteAnother fabulous card using French Country...that chicken wire is perfect with the fleur de lys images stamped inside...just so clever. Wonderful card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card Marlena! I love how you've done that crimping, it looks great! Thanks for joining in the fun with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!

ReplyDeleteThis is super! I love the crimped panel and the way you used the fleur de lys inside of the chickenwire! Great job!

ReplyDeleteMarlena, love your card! The chicken wire is fabulous! And the crimping really lends itself to a barnyard feel! Great take on the challenges! (And I loved that movie, too! Have seen it a couple of times now -- so sweet! :)
