My Hero, My Friend

As soon as I saw this stamp set...I knew I had to get it.

No matter the pain that rose up from the pit of my heart.

The last time I saw this exact image-in 3D....

I didn't know if I would see that precious man in person again.

That is all I can manage to say about that.

I didn't order the background flag set yet from ODBD..I'm kicking myself.
But, my new stamp technique, stamping with an acrylic block...did the trick.  I just needed some color on the ends.

ODBD #67 Red, White and Blue is perfect for the card I wanted to make my husband.  He may not be in the Army any longer....but he still fighting...according to 1 Tim 6:12.

made me think about a triangle.  Flags are folded into triangles..so I feel it is the perfect shape for this.

I also created a stand, but didn't finalize it.  I want to be able to slip it in the envelope.  He keeps my cards, so if he displays it, it will stand nicely with this.

My hero, my best friend.

He is the bravest man I know.

Thank you for looking at this project.  I hope you thank your hero today. ;)

I was going to say you should have entered it into this week's challenge at ODBD when I saw your write up. Gorgeous work! Thanks for joining the ODBD Shining the Light challenge.
